The park is beautiful...the river is beautiful to look at...go Trout fishing, kayaking, tubing Etc. It is the second oldest river in the country and it flows south to north instead of north the south like other rivers.

Clean, great RV spaces, quiet. Family oriented. We visit several times per year.

We had the park to ourselves while we were there, absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. The cleanest and most well maintained campsites I have ever stayed at (stayed at a lot), friendly staff that just made sure we were comfortable and otherwise left us alone. Tubes free for campers to go down the river, good firewood, hot showers. The only downside is that you tote your gear a few hundred yards as there is no car access to the sites, but they provide wheelbarrows and carts to help with this.

I stayed in the primitive camping area. The bathroom facilities are modern and relatively clean. Although it is a long walk of 152 probably 350 yards to the various campsites they do provide wagons to haul in your Camp gear. Nice short easy walking trails and good scenery are highlights.
