Amazing park with great scenery, waterfalls, breathtaking views and many trails! Widows Creek Falls is a must see, especially for those who are learning how photograph waterfalls. Short hike from the road, lots of different angles to shoot and great scenery around the falls. Also recommend hiking to the top of the mountain. The stone formation is very interesting & the view is nice.

This is a unique slice of geography tucked away in a small valley of enormous history. The 600 foot high face is maybe best viewed from Wolf Rock, almost the same elevation. But from the homestead in between you get the impression of just how long the expansive formation is. The back side of WR is also just as impressive and you’re able to walk around forever. It’s an easier walk up, a part you shouldn’t pass up. But climb both and make a day of it with a pack lunch. This place is a rare gem.

Great park. You can hike, bike, climb, camp and fish. Last time I was there was in the water with the fly rod. Delayed harvest area of river in park. Great fishing and lots of anglers love this park. Get there early and claim your spot. Not going to tell you my favorite location ;), lets just say it has a heavenly location. Enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.

Beautiful mountain and state park. There are plenty spots for swimming, fishing and having picnics. It is well maintained and the roads are paved in most of the park. Looking forward for some catch and release fishing soon. Be aware some areas of the river are private property beside the park, be nice and don't leave trash behind.

Nice to look at but website is deceiving because after you are in the park you have to pay again to do any of the things they offer. We paid to get in and even the train did not run. It also did not help when inquiring about these things, that four different staff members gave us four different answers on things opening and cost to get in. “Go over to the Carolina house, it’s a must see and it’s free to get in” once over there, fifteen dollars a person. Novel idea but it is not a state park, only in title only and is ran by corporate busines. No thank you coke, I can not recommend your park.
