Great place to spend with family and friends. The sites are clean, large, have fire pits with grates, and the water has areas for swimming and wading. I can't wait to go back! I love that the only road that's near the camping sites is one that goes to the falls and it closes at 9pm so you don't have to hear any cars at night. Also, the Rangers were very educated and great with large groups of kids.

This was our very first camping trip as a family. The grounds & trails were exceptional! The customer service on the phone and at the checkin was super helpful. We felt very safe and enjoyed learning a bit from ranger Amanda who patrolled the grounds. The bathroom & shower facilities were very well kept and super clean. We enjoyed an awesome camp site next to the river with a large fire pit. We would certainly camp there again. Thanks for making our first experience a great one!

This is quite an amazing place. From campgrounds to horse trails and hikes, it is worth going there at different seasons. We thought the hike was quite rigorous but the views were worth it. The stairs will give your knees and legs a big workout so be aware if you have those unable to handle steep slopes. Still, we will keep going back for more mountain joy at South Mountains State Park.

South mountain state park is beautiful! All the water falls are incredible and there are miles of trails, so it wasn’t too crowded (even on a warm Saturday afternoon). We had a great day and will definitely return to hike a different trail.

We had an amazing hike out here. This is truly a beautiful place to visit. As large and as many trails as there are, it doesn't seem to be over crowded by any means... The welcome center is staffed with helpful and informative people. Everything was clean, well marked, and obvious. Take a chance - Go visit SMSP!!!
