My husband was seen by the urology office in Matthews on Monday, February 26 for a procedure.  We left with paperwork in hand describing what he might expect over the next few days.  Unfortunately, later the same afternoon he was in severe pain and we were unable to reach anyone by telephone (only a recorder telling us to go to the ER or call 911) at just after 3:30 p.m.  We chose to drive back to the office since we were close by.  The patient area had lights off, and the office personnel were still there.  This individual at the reception office showed absolutely no compassion or CARING at all.  She basically restated what we had heard on the recorder, and was extremely rude.  She mentioned that we should have called or come back sooner.  THE PAPERWORK DOES NOT HAPPEN TO MENTION THAT THE OFFICE CLOSES AT 3:30 P.M. TO ALERT PATIENTS  IN CASE THERE IS A PROBLEM.  Most of the patients we observed in the office earlier that day were senior citizens.  It appears to us that in the HealthCARE business, an individual in the office might be appointed to follow-up on patients who have had procedures that day before closing the office for that day.   This just might indicate that your doctor really cares about his patients.

I had my kids here in 2014 (which ended up C-section) and 2016 (normal delivery) in the maternity ward. In 2014, my nurse who was presiding over my labour and delivery was A-mazing! And since I was in the hospital longer during the first birth/ delivery due to C-section, I had a lot of care given to me.  All of the staff was always smiles, very helpful and personable, and gave me loads of tips during both pregnancies, but especially the first one. 

Most of all, they tried their best to make another mom feel at home. I think that is most needed when you are bringing a life into this World. To all those in the maternity ward, keep doing the great job that you are and don't ever change!

Btw, I noticed there were a lot of negative reviews. I guess staff and care could possibly vary from department to department. My experience in the maternity ward was excellent.

The staff in the imaging center were amazing.  They treated me with great care and compassion.  They made sure that I was comfortable the entire visit.  I was nervous about having an MRI but the staff helped me relax for the procedure.

I had the worst experience here last night.  The doctor who treated me was unprofessional, unkind, and just didn't care or want to be bothered.  After hearing his diagnosis before any tests are done, and then voicing my opinion to him on his treatment, he then began to change his tune after making false statements to me and me calling him out on it, he gave me discharge papers. I was very upset and didn't read them till I got home but he a refusal of care in my discharge paperwork which was completely false. I contacted the hospital this morning and left a message advising I wanted to issue a complaint. Iam pending a return call.  The worst experience ever

Sat for 3 hours before the doctor came in for less then 5 mins just to assess the eye injury. Then waited another 1 hour for another doctor to come in for a second opinion. Understandable if there were test results pending but to wait 4 hours just to be seen is beyond ridiculous.
