I tried to remove my back wheel on my bicycle to replace the original hardware with a quick release. I thought it would not be a problem for me; however, I was sadly mistaken!!! I literally brought my bicycle into Paradise Garage in pieces. Mark was so helpful! He not only fixed my back wheel by installing a quick release, he also gave me a quick lesson on how to install the bicycle into the new exercise stand I purchased. The whole process took less than 30-minutes. I highly recommend this shop and I think pricing was very fair. Thanks for taking such great care of me! Debbie Wardlow

Bought an SE Draft last winter and knew next to nothing about biking. I was in search of a simple, easy to maintain bike and PG was more than happy to help me with any questions I had plus some that I didn't know I needed. They sent me on my way with a few add-ons and a couple spare tubes. Aside from one of the tubes being the wrong size PG was and is a great shop and I try to stop in every time I make it back down to Columbus. I will admit that if you don't vibe them as interested they probably won't respond in a way that appears interested in you. That's sales. If you're getting offered the most expensive bike in the shop you probably went in without ANY idea of what you wanted and they're going to follow a standard sales technique of starting you at the top then taking you to the bottom and figuring out where you really sit from there. It's basic customer education. The 1 star reviews are very misinformed on the process of sales and from someone who's worked face to face, phone, and Internet sales as well as customer service and support roles in companies PG really does a good job at everything they do. If you're interested in doing your own work they'll answer questions, if you just want to ride they'll do the work for you. This is the new era of shop, education and service all in one stop

It seems like most of these 5 star reviews are coming from men and hopefully that's not the reason that I got such meh service. PG was the one and only bike shop that I called (based on word of mouth, best prices and reviews) and although the man on the phone gave me the answers I was looking for, his tone was short and sounded as though I was an inconvenience. I rode my bike down there and clumsily got it through the door. 3 people were working and none of them picked their head up or even glanced towards the door. One of them was on phone and when he finally caught my eye after about 2 minutes he quickly looked away and still no word from anybody. Even a quick hand over the phone hello or head nod would have been sufficient. All the best.

My road bicycle was serviced and repaired at PG. Tyler, the lead bike mechanic, is great with customers and bicycles. I highly recommend PG as your first choice in bicycle repairs and service.

I don't know if the employees at PG work on commission or what, but they will try and sell you the most expensive product they have, regardless of what the product is. I'm a college student and I asked about a bike, and I got shown bikes all 800 dollars and up; I said I'm on a budget, and the guy very reluctantly showed me cheaper bikes. And he went on and on about why those bikes were essentially pieces of garbage. He was saying how i was wasting my money spending anything less than 800-1000 dollars, and how I should really double my budget at least. Here's an example of their BS: I wanted a 300 dollar bike they had with straight handlebars, and I asked how easy it would be to later on install a drop-down handlebar instead (I was a beginner at the time, and I didn't know it was an easy process). The guys said it would be nearly impossible on this bike frame (a State bike), and no one can do it, but if i'm interested in a drop down handlebar bike, here's a great one for only 850 dollars. I tried on another date to buy lights for my bike and was shown the 90 dollar USB-rechargable lights. No thank you, the 20 dollar battery lights will do. instead of just saying okay and charging me, he went on and on about how those lights are dim, awful, and will stop working in a month. And then when I wanted a water bottle, you guessed it, the 15 dollar wattle bottle is a piece of trash. I understand that obviously the more money you spend the better the quality of any product is, but damn they do not like to sell reasonably priced products. And multiple employees did this, so I think it's like a store policy. If you're an OSU student who wants a good bike in a 200-400 dollar range, go to Revolution Cycles, just a few blocks away. If you say you're on a budget, they really work with you and try and figure out how to help. If you're a bike enthusiast who wants a top product, go to Rev Cycles, they have some crazy cool bikes, and with much friendlier service. Oh, and on that earlier comment about the handlebars: got the EXACT SAME State bike from Rev Cycles, went in there a few weeks later and bought a drop down handlebar. They changed it for me in literally five minutes and charged me a 20 dollar fee for doing it. I don't work with Rev cycles nor do I have anything to do with them other than being a satisfied customer. PG is a waste of your time.
