About

Proudly serving Chesapeake Bay & Atlantic Coast seafood, from the crabs to the oysters and more, prepared in the traditional Eastern Shore style!

Story

Perched out into the Baltimore harbor on an overwater dock, the Phillips Crab Deck is a can't-miss Maryland dining adventure that delivers a menu of Eastern Shore favorites. If you've come to the deck to feast on steaming hot hard shells, we've got you covered with the best catch from our community of watermen. Our visitors love watching the action of our steaming station, where the live crabs are sorted for size and prepared fresh to order. Let our experienced shuckers tempt you with a rotating selection of fresh oysters and clams from our local waters. Our Steam Buckets, overflowing with a feast of freshly steamed seafood, have become a real guest favorite-- dig in! And, of course, we wouldn't be Phillips without our classic Ocean City crab cakes, pan sauteed until golden brown.

I have been a regular of Phillips Seafood in the Baltimore Harbor since the early 90’s. Located in the historic power plant It is always a fantastic experience from amazing, fresh seafood to the friendly staff and charming ambiance. Phillips is known for their crab cakes which are fresh blue crab. Try the fresh oyster and crab claw sampler as a starter. A wide variety of menu items including surf and turf, soups and salads. The lounge offers live entertainment several days a week. Spring and summer enjoy the crab deck overlooking the National Aquarium. Listen to live music while picking steamed crabs made to order or enjoy a crab cake sandwich. Specialty beers and cocktails are a must.

Our first time on the east coast so I can't speak to whether or not the quality has gone down with time. We got the seafood platter and the scallops with crab and corn/sweet potato cream. The seafood was some of the best we've ever had (we are from the west coast). Everything seemed perfectly seasoned and prepared and the portions were a decent size (they seemed a little on the small side but that's probably because it was so delicious that we just wanted more). The Phillips amber beer was pretty tasty and went well with our food. There was live music which was not overbearing and made for a very nice atmosphere.

Extremely over priced, not much to choose from on the menu. Food was terrible, convinced they gave me instant mashed potatoes. Your better going to red lobster. I asked for a booth and the greeter gave me attitude. Waitress took forever and there was hardly anyone there. Only reason I gave it two stars cause the building looks cool on the outside.

I would give you guys no stars if I could.......I Never got to try the food there because the person that answers the phone was very rude with me on February 24th at 4:19p.m. Online it showed the restaurant was closed on Saturday so I called just to make sure eventually a guy (boy) answered. I asked if you guys were open and he said “is that a trick question? because If we weren’t I wouldn’t be on the phone “ because of that experience I decided to go to the Cheesecake Factory. Safe to say I will never give you guys my hard working money and I will never refer this place to anyone. If a person that answers the phone acted this way I’m sure the food tastes like S***.

A bit overpriced for amount of food. My dish was overcooked and crabcakes was full of shell. Seafood tower was good but clams/ oysters were not released from the shells so had to spend a lot of time pulling them free.
