As the recent recipient of one star from the prestigious Michelin Guide and the only Forbes five star rated restaurant in Washington, DC, Plume at The Jefferson hotel serves as a discreet and welcoming backdrop to the artistry of our award-winning culinary team.

The food is okay, in my opinion not deserving of a Michelin star. Service was solid, but I've had better in DC. Stuffy atmosphere, pretentious. Overall, a good restaurant, but at that price, I was hoping for more.

I had one of the best dinners at Plume last night. Since the moment you arrive to the Jefferson Hotel the service is outstanding. The restaurant decoration is really high end and lux. The food is out of this world, really tasty and beautiful presented. Great wine selections and a sommelier for any wine recommendation. They gave us a personalized menu with “happy anniversary” at the top of the menu and happy anniversary signs in the desserts. 100% recommended if you want to impress your partner. Plates recommendation: truffle risotto, bison and everything chocolate dessert.

Well deserving of it's Michelin star, if not two. Chef Ralph Schlegel brings a hearty combination of gastronomic delight with something more substantial than French cuisine, we assume from his German heritage. Each course of our multi-course meal satiated our taste buds and we were in want of nothing more. While we had originally made the reservation with high hopes for Fabrice Leray's dessert due to his tenure at Le Pont de Brent in Montruex, every course successfully piqued our palate. Lovely atmosphere. Service was excellent; restaurant manager managed his seasoned team with command and precision. Plume is definitely of the same caliber as the two and three Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris, three of which we visited last February. If you've visited any of those in Europe, you definitely won't be disappointed at Plume.

I had high hope for this restaurant as it is awarded a Michelin star. Needless to say, I was disappointed. First of all, I must say this is an elegant place. The staff are very nice. The atmosphere is romantic. That's why I gave it three stars. As a Michelin star restaurant, one must expect the food to be outstanding in terms of flavour and presentation. I am afraid to say that there is NO flavour whether there is sauce or no sauce. Pork was either over cooked and dry or under cooked with pink coloured meat. I couldn't believe that even the sauce was blend. We had seven courses tasting menu. The irony is that all 7 are tasteless. The presentation was ok as shown in pictures but didn't wow me.
