Not really impressed. I use to go to a Pollo Tropical in Dallas, TX area before they all closed down. So I thought I would stop here at one in Jacksonville, FL. The chicken was dry. And they took long in the drive thru. Could have been a better experience. I can see why they didn’t last in TX. The bowls were good from what I remember. I’ll stick to that next time.
Just ordered delivery from their website but received incomplete order! Ordered chicken and pork duo with tomato side, but they forgot to put the pork and tomatoes! My gf was also missing her sauces too! They messed up even though the delivery receipt was correct. Called them but only got voicemail. Bad service, don’t order delivery from them! Disappointed!
I normally love this chain and have stopped almost every time I see one. If this would have been my first experience it would have been my last. They served me dry overcooked chicken and they were out of 80% of their signature sauces, including the best ones which makes the meal. I was on the verge of asking for a refund on my first bite. Absolutely terrible.
We were greeted with the statement 'We can't sell any chicken". So after some uncomfortable discussion about this being a chicken restaurant, we tried to order a Cuban Sandwich. Response: We can't sell that either".Food: 1/5
Excellent food and service. 2 years ago I gave this location a poor review because of the bad service, today I stop at this location again and I was very satisfied with the service and food. I appreciate when a business makes improvements to better serve their customer. The restaurant was well staffed, the food was delicious and best of all, they made my visit a pleasure. This is the furthest northern location on my way to Toronto Canada, from here I pickup delicious chicken for my children back home, a real treat for them.
The food tasted okay, and the staff was friendly. But, as we were finishing our meal a small roach came crawling across the table. I. Just. Can't. Around 3:00 a.m. we all became sick with stomach issues. It continued for about 12-14 hours. I can't prove it was from our dinner, but it's the only meal that we all ate. I think I'm done with this particular place.
The place was not cleaned. All the tables were dirty. There was no casher available. We arrived and there was a sign to place the order on line. Some customers left. There was enough workers behind the counter to have a cashier in front. Waited more than 15 minutes for our order. Sorry. I would not recommend this location to a friend.
Avoid this location, I have never experienced this at other locations of this chain, they must have bad management. It took well over 30 min to get our order, they were out of sweat plantains and grilled chicken. It was a Sunday night and they had at least ten workers there but maybe three workers working. They were more concerned about buying Krispy Kream donuts from a delivery lady lady than making our food. There were many unhappy customers inside and in the drive through. Crispy chicken in my tropichop was over cooked. The service was clueless, and apathetic. There was one lady that finally decided to make my order and it felt like she was doing me a personal favor out of embarrassment that my order had still not been made after 30 min. My friend had her two girls with her, and the first kids chicken meal had five bites of chicken. The fries were cold. The second child's meal came out at 45 min and was overcooked as well. Mac and cheese was low quality and the chocolate chip cookies were stale. Disappointed is an understatement. There are many other places to eat around there. We regret not eating at BJs because they had a thirty min wait. I'm writing this bad review to hopefully save you from making the same mistake we made.
We waited 15 minutes in the drive through at the window waiting to pay, then they finally came to the window and took my $50 bill and tried giving me change from a $20 bill. I politely said this isn't the correct change and he said ok, I'm sorry. We waited another 10 minutes - I ended up honking my horn and the guy came to the window with $5 short. I explained to him the change and he went and got another person. She finally came to the window another 10 minutes later and asked me what's going on. I explained and she gave me the $5. Food: ordered dark chicken and was given white. The chicken was very dry. Not ever going back here again.
the Avocado Cilantro Chicken Salad with crispy chicken! The extra cilantro sauce is delightful! Even the price increase didn't stop me from getting it!Food: 4/5
