Let me preface my review with the fact that I do photo restoration professionally, here in Carmel. I print a lot of pictures in Robert's Photo lab and I also come here to buy own photography equipment and printing supplies. Roberts makes fantastic prints! Their prints are superior to drug stores and department store prints in my opinion. Their equipment produces better color and crisper edges in pictures. Not only does Roberts beat the competition in quality, but they have print prices that are as good and some prices that are better than the national chain stores. The knowledgeable staff in both the lab and the sales people are something you won't find at the department or drug stores. These people only do photo and camera! They know their business too. Over the years I have been going to Roberts, I have come to trust their opinions and expertise in the field. I will not go anywhere else for prints or equipment.

I brought a lens to this location for repair. The back plate that locks onto the camera had popped off after the lens was dropped - everything else was in tact - but I wanted to make sure it was still something that was doable. Three separate employees told me that, in their opinion, the lens could be repaired and that I should send it to their repair center. I was charged a shipping & return shipping fee of twenty dollars and told I would be contacted with a repair cost estimate. No call came, the lens was sent back to the store, and I was told to pick it up. No explanation was given, they simply decided not to repair it, or perhaps that they couldn't repair it - in either event, there was no communication, and I still have a broken lens.

Employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are willing to take time the time to answer questions and explain different features of the equipment. They don't just try to sell the most expensive item but recommend what best fits the customer's needs.

I bought my first camera here recently and the employee I worked with fantastic. Helped explain all questions I had, and was very politely. When I asked if they had a certain body I wanted to look at, he grabbed a comparable camera that they did have.
