I was looking at a silver 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport. I was very interested but I live in missouri so I wanted to get as much info as I could before I made the 1100 mile round trip. I was texting the son asking about how much rust was on it since northern climates use a lot of salt on the roads. The son told me it had just a very small area that was starting to bubble up. He sent pics but chose the best spots on the frame to show. I believed him so I decided to go get it. They knew i was coming from missouri.  When I got there the truck had an incredible amount of rust on it. The fender wells were completely rusted. The entire outside of every fender flare was rusted as well as a hand-sized chunk of paint missing next to the fuel door spray-painted silver to match. The pics on the website are far enough away that this damage is not visible. All the aluminum in the engine was corroded from the salt too. So I guess they were just too stupid to be able to identify rust because surely they wouldn't lie to me knowing I was coming from so far away just so they could sell a truck. This truck bluebooks for $3200 in poor condition and they are trying to unload it for $5k. I didn't even drive it. I told the dad I wasn't interested in it because it was so rough. He asked me if i wanted to look at something else like I was going to say "well, since I'm here..." No thanks, I can find some other podunk dealership in my own state to screw me over. I told the dad I wasn't interested in doing business with him since his son had lied to me, resulting in my spending 18 hours on the road to hopefully buy this truck. I would definitely not recommend this dealer.

I love the truck these guys sold me. Everything was great about the service and sales they provide. Their honesty and customer service approach to customers is excellent.

I would highly recommend Salem Autosports. Great deals on used cars mostly under 10k. I paid cash fo my car, then took the title to the bank where they give me full Blue book value which was double what I  paid. My son also just bought his second vehicle from Salem. Owner Mike and his son Brandon are very personable. Worth the almost hour drive from where I live.

I actually drove up 1000 miles from Alabama because they had a specific car I was hunting and listed it online. I told them I was coming to look at it and it was still filthy when I arrived. Now i think what you got from that was "the car was dirty". What I'm saying is that the floor board was soaked with something, one of the compartments had been used as an ashtray and left that way, there was rat feces in the center console, the radio was sharpie'd to cover where the buttons were wearing off, tag screws were rusted in place, trash in the cargo area, battery that lasted me a DAY (had to buy a new one to get it home). All of this and he didn't think to tell me this before I drove 1000 miles to see it. I got $500 taken off and grabbed it up. Mechanically sound for a 150k mile car, although the check engine light DID come on a week into owning it, but I chock the sound engine up to Toyota's 2zz engine, it's a trooper. My honest opinion is that it's probably best to avoid this place. There are still honest car salesman out there and you'd be better off continuing your search to find one instead of settling here. I know it's a bad review but I promise it's honest. Took him a MONTH to mail me my title too (paid for the car in full). Sorry Salem, you didn't even hit the bare minimum of customer service in my case 8/
