I went to Sam Ash to look at a few violins since my violin was acting up and I wanted to upgrade. I'm so glad I went to Sam Ash! The sales manager was very nice and directed me to the right person to talk to about testing a few violins. The sales person was excellent in explaining the pros and cons of purchasing new/used violins. Also, the violin repair specialist was on site and was SUPER friendly, patient, and helpful. I had the opportunity to test out a few violins at my own speed. No pressure whatsoever. All questions were welcomed which I appreciated since I'm a beginner violin student. The violin repair specialist made sure that my violin was up to standard before I left (I purchased an used violin of great quality!). The sales person made sure that I had a case and explained the warranty options. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm so glad that I went here for my new violin!! Also, the selection of violins was impression, so if you're looking for violins, definitely stop by and take a look! I would recommend this store, for sure! Thanks!

I bought an acoustic electric guitar via the web site, beautiful instrument came in great shape (open box), but I was not happy with it for two reasons (it really was a "It's me, not you" situation -ha!). Went to the store on 34th Street. The selection, staff knowledge, atmosphere were all fantastic. The staff was really on it too, I got a call back three days later when the model I asked for became available (they were out after the holidays). They happily took the online order guitar from me, credited it, and I got an instrument I am truly VERY happy with. I cannot say enough for the experience and the outcome. Rock on!

Amazing store with friendly knowledgeable staff. The people who work at Sam Ash are all musicians so they really know their stuff. We shop here for our musical son, and he spends hours here checking out all the wonderful instruments. The staff never make you feel like you can’t give many instruments go. It’s like a wonderland for musicians!

A cordial elegant girl greeted me and my son when we entered and exited the store. The gentleman in the acoustic guitar section courteously directed me to where D’Addario banjo strings were located. Another sweet girl overhearing our conversation walked me in person to where the strings were. I made two cash register purchases. Both were pleasant experiences. The man who gave us a shopping bag on our way out was also personable and nice to my son. Everyone made eye contact (which almost never happens in places of business located in New York City). Thanks!

One of the best attributes of SAM ASHE is that the guitars for sale are not under lock and key. When you enter the acoustic guitar room you can pick out any guitar and play. You don't have to find an associate to get the guitar unlocked. No one plays just one guitar when looking to make a purchase. This makes the experience so much more enjoyable.
