Sequoia Park Zoo is an intimate, accredited facility situated in the redwood forest of Eureka, CA.

The Zoo is dedicated to inspiring conservation of the natural world by instilling wonder, respect, and passion for wildlife. We fulfill this mission by: creating intimate connections between people and animals; providing the highest standards of animal care and exhibitry; providing innovative educational experiences; partnering with other institutions to ensure sustainability of zoo and wild populations; providing a place for our community to meet, relax, and enjoy; and appreciating and utilizing our unique redwood setting.

For a zoo they offer many opportunities tho educate families and young kids. They have many activities through out the year. The animal enclosures could really stand to be bigger for some animals however. The monkeys, raptor area and sea otters could use a little more space. Petting zoo is a huge hit with kids. There's plenty of staff nearby to evaluate trouble makers.

This is a very small zoo. There aren't many supper thrilling animals, but what they do have are cute and generally easy to observe. My sons liked going there for short walks (short because it is so small). The prices are a little high in my opinion because it is difficult to spend even an entire hour here.

Zoo has lovely events, sometimes the music is crazy loud, and I have some concerns for kids and animals that might be nearby? Otherwise a good time, they do really well by their animals, many are rescues that would have perished in the wild. Many barnyard animals and herbivores are surrendered pets that had nowhere else to go. Park nearby is. A great place for walking, grilling and swings!

This is a smaller zoo but very enjoyable. If you want lions, tigers, and bears, you will not find them here. The flamingo lagoon is a "must see" attraction. There is a petting zoo for the younger members of your party. I would go back.

Easy to find parking. Zoo was small but had interesting exhibits. River otters, red pandas, lots of cool monkeys just to name a few. It is very reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly. Full of poke stops and gyms. Nice place to spend a few hours.
