Very helpful Camp Hosts. End of October and early November nights are very cold. Majority of people use RVs or trailers, but we were quite comfortable in our tent. Fishing and Fall colors are the draw. Close to Mono lake, June lake, Mammoth, and Yosemite.

The campground was very nice The only problem was the host She did not want any noise after 10. Not even talking. She threatened to call the sheriff if we did not comply. Very unreasonable and obviously she has no kids Thank God. Showers and restrooms were very clean at all times There is a convenience store near by Silver lake resort boat rental right next to the campground is very convenient at a very reasonable price. The workers were very knowledgeable. We'll be back to both places

There's no Wi-Fi, no TV, very tight for big rigs, only 30 amp service, lots of obstacles like low tree branches and tight turns. It is right next to Silver Lake, which is nice. But for anything longer than a 35 foot, I would look into the many other nearby campgrounds. The staff was cordial and helpful. But they all seem jaded, like they have been doing this so long they are just burned out. This is based on my off-season one night stay. I could have stayed longer, but they were booked up. If you have to camp elsewhere, don't despair, each public or private area has it's perks. I can only imagine what this place is like in June or July, it must be bumper to bumper traffic down the only road. I can tell you that mid-May was spectacular. 60 degree days, warm sun, mild nights, snow on the majestic mountain peaks. I kicked myself for staying in "highly rated" campgrounds when the state and federal grounds or the private concession campgrounds would have been just fine and less money.
