On 02/14/18, around 11:30 am went by this simply mac store at Hamilton Place Mall in Chattanooga TN, to have battery replaced in my wife's iPhone 5. Informed the kid at the service counter that I need to replace the battery. The phone holds a charge for about 4 to 6 hours. I had the battery replaced last year by batteries plus and it isn't holding a charge anymore. The employee said that there isn't anything he could do. Since I had an aftermarket battery installed it voids the warranty on the phone. I said I didn't want anything repaired I just want a new battery installed. He said sorry he couldn't help me. Living approx 50 miles away I thought what a waist of time. When I got home I called Apple iPhone support requesting an explanation. I was told by the support representative that he didn't understand why they wouldn't replace the battery. If I were to go to an Apple Store they would be happy to replace the battery. I said I thought they were an authorized retailer. He said he didn't think they were. Nashville is the closest Apple Store. Sounds like an employee training issue

Simply ridiculous. The representatives that I worked with were not educated on the products and could offer no advice. I will drive to the real Mac store in Knoxville before visiting this Mac store wannabe again.

4 hour wait only to be told by a rude technician they would not replace the battery in my phone even if I paid them. They said because it passed a diagnostic test. I found out later it “passed” by a measly 3% which is still irrelevant since I was going to be paying for the repair out of pocket. Terrible customer service. Better off going to a generic phone repair place or getting a new battery and tool kit from Amazon. After a long phone call to Apple I was given the choice of sending the phone in for repair or going to a real Apple store in Knoxville which I decided to do. I’ll never deal with SimplyMac again.

Sent them an email about the whole phone problem... and called the mall and asked them about the issue. (They had no idea) I’m heading there today. Update: I walk into the door and ask the guy there to sell my the 8 Plus (the phone I was looking for) only to be told that they only sell the AT&T model of the iPhone. I told him I had looked at their website and found that they sold AT&T but also would sell iPhones at full price. He denied it and said that they don’t sell non AT&T iPhones. He was rather blunt, and I won’t be going there again unless it’s for an iPhone accessory or official apple cables. VERY long line. Verdict: if you need an iPhone don’t go. Only go if you need genuine apple accessory’s. Or a repair.

PLEASE DONT EVER GO HERE! The customer service is so incredibly bad, in particular, the employee BARRY, needs to be terminated asap. My phone was having charging issues on my first day back to college and I went in and was told by BARRY, I wouldn't be able to be serviced that day due to their new "sign in policy" of which they were booked that day. He was quite rude about it. I didn't buy it, and went to a different employee who was more friendly and proceeded to tell me there was an open sign in spot AT THAT MOMENT for me. interesting. Not only this, I was told my phone just needed to be replaced and my warranty would cover it. This was good news for a college student! The next day I checked my email and was told actually, I WOULD have to pay $300 plus tax for a new phone. Are you kidding me? I had a similar situation with Microsoft last month, which leaded to them refunding $150 to me. THATS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Apple/SimplyMac wont even hear me out, let alone answer their store phone!! Also, I still don't have my new phone yet and its been a week!!!!!! HORRENDOUS. Will be telling everyone I know.
