My husband went into an urgent care facility on Fort Apache that was associated with Southern Hills Hospital. There was nothing on the outside or inside to show that association, so we had no way to know that. My husband thought he might have appendicitis. My husband gave the front desk staff his insurance card and they accepted it and said nothing. My husband was treated with a few tests and some medicine. It turned out he had kidney stones and he was released. We were there a few hours. Months later, we received a bill for $ 2800. This facility was out of network so my husband's insurance covered very little. My husband argued with Southern Hills hospital that he should have been told this facility was out of network so he could have decided to go find an in network facility. The hospital argued they were not allowed to provide that information. I can understand that the facility should not be allowed to refuse treatment to my husband due to his insurance, but not to be able to tell someone they are out of network is ridiculous. Our medical / insurance system is awful and this is just one more example of why. Don't expect any facility to tell you that you are out of network...even though they know you are. Make sure you ask so you don't get stuck with a $ 2800 or higher bill... when you actually have paid for insurance.

Had a wonderful experience with this hospital when I had to have gallbladder surgery. Every single person (staff) were extremely nice. My surgeon was awesome! Definitely will go back here again if needed.

By far the best hospital in Clark County (and yes, we have been to several other hospitals here). There was no wait at the ER on Friday at 10pm. From the gentleman at the front desk registration at the ER to the nurses to the doctor, everyone was so caring, so helpful, so professional and so GENUINE. The security guard was exemplary. What a great team!!! Everything worked just right. My mother-in-law received incredible care and service, FAST! A huge thank you to the entire team of Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center! You're an inspiration to your patients and to the young people who aspire to someday do the life-saving work you do. Thank you and happy holidays!

THE WORST HOSPITAL!!! I have never felt so mistreated in my life. I have been given multiple blood transfusions throughout my life and never have I experienced one like this at southern hills hospital. I was feeling dizzy and had chest pain all day morning on 12/18/2017 and decided to go to an urgent care to get checked up. They told me my blood count level was too low and needed to go to the hospital immediately. We were referred to southern hills hospital. After running all the necessary tests and procedures we waited for the doctor to speak to us. He was very stern with his diagnosis which is fine. The nurse however made us feel very uncomfortable. He was rushing through everything making us feel like my situation was unimportant. They decided to give me 1 unit of blood for my low hemoglobin. After the blood transfusion was complete the nurse comes in and says almost done. Just going to get you to sign some things so that you guys can be on your way. I have had multiple blood transfusions throughout my life and not any one of them send me on my way immediately after the transfusion. They did not even check what my hemoglobin level was after the 1 unit of blood. I felt so disrespected. When the nurse removed the syringe from my forearm he did not even apply any pressure nor did he wear any gloves. My arm immediately bled after he put a bandage on my arm. I asked for a copy of the tests that were done on me and the only thing I was given was a summary. On top of that the summary states nothing about my heavy menstrual bleeding, only my chest pain. This has been the most irresponsible and disappointing ER experience. I will never return to this hospital.

I was in a car accident today right up the street from this hospital. My children, my husband, and myself were not injured, but because I'm 16 weeks pregnant I went to emergency room at Southern Hills Hospital to have an ultrasound done to make sure that my son was ok. I think I sat down for one second before the nurse took me to the back. They immediately took my blood and urine sample. They did an ultrasound and had my results quickly. This hospital is amazing. The entire staff is friendly and very professional. If someone leaves a poor review, it's them, not the staff or hospital. They were super busy and had me out of there within 3 hours. I'm thankful for them.
