Story

Broderick.Lumpkin, the original owner, grew-up in Texas and brought his unique Tex-Mex recipes to Cartersville in 1978.
You will never find items like a Mexicali or Potato Poncho anywhere else.
Our Meat Nachos on the Halve Shell happens to be the most popular item and my personal favorite.
Everything is made to order....so you can always have it your way.
Broderick decided to retire after 36 successful years. Lee and Parker Tidwell are now the owners. The only changes to our menu they have made are adding Fish, Shrimp, and Cheese Stix.

I haven't had the subs but I can say the tacos are some of my favorite in town. They get busy at lunch and there isn't alot of parking outside. This is a mom and pop type place so the staff is eclectic and the atmosphere has a unique down town feel. You order the food standing at a counter food truck style and someone brings it to your table. With a little more attention to detail of maintenance and cleanliness I would give 5 stars

This place is a true diamond in the rough. Every time I have been here, the food had been fabulous, the service great, and the atmosphere unique. Excellent place for lunch and if you have never been, you are doing yourself a disservice.

The food has changed and just doesn't seem to taste as good as it used to or be of the same quality as it was when the original owner's had it. I personally know the new owner's and they're good people, but I think they should have stuck with the original vendors that were supplying the ingredients. Don't get me wrong, it's still good food, just not quite as tastey in my opinion as it used to be. If I was trying for the first time, I'd of went with a 4 star rating. The only reason I'd not go with a 5 star rating is due to the age of the building, as it's really showing it's age, plus the parking there sucks when they're busy, as they usually always are.

Food is good, but call ahead at lunch hour or dinner time or your in for a wait!

Very neat place, food was fantastic and affordable. We were taken care of very quickly. It is a great little lunch spot. Will definitely be coming back!
