This place is amazing! From the wonderful owners, to the accommodations, the location and outstanding food, my husband and I had a 5 star experience here! We stayed here in late January 2016 and have already booked again for this December 2017 because we can't imagine coming to Colorado and not staying here! We ate breakfast each morning at the cafe as it is included in the stay and were blown away by the big portions and how wonderful the food was, but it was even better because we felt we were getting specialized treatment because we were also guests. The owners went out of their way when we wanted the pizza on the patio because the weather was cold, they had to slowly heat the wood burning oven and tend to it so it would crack. They almost couldn't do it but they went out of their way to accommodate us and we are so grateful, we came from the cabin in the snow to bake two pizzas together, just my husband and I and then went back to the cabin to eat in front of the fireplace, there is nothing else like it!! We felt we were by ourselves with no one around, it was amazing! You can't stay here and not get in the hot tub because it is perfect, especially in the winter when it is cold and snowing! Total privacy even though we were staying in the chicken coop which is right next to the park there was barely any noise and believe me, we are privacy people. We saw wildlife from the back porch which Mark shoveled off each morning before we even woke up! That is awesome hospitality! We went up to a local butcher shop and bought some Buffalo and quail and cooked it on the grill right off the back porch in the snow and it was fantastic! All around, it was one of the most amazing experiences we have had and can't wait to go back this December!

Tranquil, comfortable, warm and welcoming retreat. Heaps of wildlife, freshwater stream, trout, Elk, and dear on your doorstep! The cabins are beautifully appointed and decorated. Breakfast at the cafe is generous and to die for! You won't be disappointed. I'll be back. Sheri and Mark are wonderful hosts.

Beautiful place run by a great family! We stayed there last week for a night and wished we could've stayed for so much more. These are beautifully constructed cabins right by the creek. The family that owns/operates this property genuinely cared about making our experience comfortable and enjoyable. Plus, the food (bed and breakfast) is INCREDIBLE! It comes from the locally famous Country Road Cafe which typically has a line out the door on weekends but if you stay at the cabins, you get to skip the line and they'll deliver it right to your room at the time you request! I would totally recommend this place if you want an elegant, simple place to relax with plenty of privacy and the serenade of Bear Creek.

I have never been so disrespected by someone who works in hospitality. Mark treated me with the most disrespect and made me cry all morning on my wedding day. The issue began with their "No unregistered guests" policy. This was not clearly stated anywhere when we booked our reservation. If Mark is going to blow up on people the way he blew up on me, they need to make this clear. For our wedding, which was at a different location, we had planned to get ready at the cabin. I did not have a lot of people for this and my understanding of "No unregistered guests"(after we checked in) was they could not stay the night. Really it meant, they could not even visit. We had six people in the morning, that included myself. I went outside too meet someone and show them where to go and I encountered Mark. He gets on his mic and starts saying "We have a situation, I need back up" He proceeded to kick everyone out. He was yelling at me saying "You are not going to listen to a word I say" "I am going to charge you $100 for every extra person". . . screaming in my face. He handled this so unprofessionally, I could understand if he pulled me aside and had a conversation like his other staff did. Nope, he just yelled and screamed and threw a fit, then he had to walk away to calm down. He needs anger management. I must say when I spoke to his other staff and was able to have a professional conversation, we were able to handle things. If they have this policy they need to make it very clear, because by the time you find out, you will be out of options. The way that Mark handled the situation, I would never recommend this place to anyone. He definitely gave me a visit to remember, in an awful way.
