They didn't over charge me like one UPS store wanted to. They did some speciality work for me that came out beautiful and didn't cost me an arm and a leg!

I took in an item for a shipping estimate. I was quoted around $100, which is not horribly unreasonable if they packed the item. I told them that I just needed to know how much it would cost for size/weight because I would build I box to fit the item and weight/size would not be altered much. The worker advised that this would raise the shipping cost over $100. What a scam! I went to another location and was quoted under $70. I will never go back because this is the second time they have tried this.

I've used The UPS Store on several occasions and couldn't be happier with the professionalism and quick, efficient services they offer. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, turning what used to be a dreadful trip to ship packages and gather my mail into a seriously quick, in-and-out process.

To be honest, I used to go to FedEx or USPS to ship due to the prices, but after all of the help I received from the associates at The UPS Store, I'll gladly pay a bit more for the services and time being saved due to the extremely helpful staff.

I visited this establishment with the intent to ship a laptop. Upon entering the store, I was greeted from a distance, and approached the available service rep at the second register (Caucasian, female). I'll skip over the hardly noteworthy opening inquiry and conversation, and get to the otherwise unenjoyable experience. In the process of identifying myself, I had to repeat my name (and spelling), as well as my phone number multiple times (initially due to the noise), and the only cues were uncomfortable pauses and blank stares. Not a huge deal, but off-putting nonetheless. When it was time to provide the shipping address, I thought it would be easier to provide a printed (typed) copy of the address. I even said, "I have the address here (on a piece of paper) if that would be easier." I provided the piece of paper, and after a few moments, it was returned. Later in the exchange, upon reviewing the information she typed up, it was apparent she'd paid little attention to the address. She abbreviated what she could, and completely omitted the ATTN line. I had to request the additional information, to which she grabbed a sheet of stickers and commented that she could just write the ATTN line on the sticker and place that on the package. Okay... Throughout the PSO Terms and Conditions sheet, she hastily marked various X's before handing it to me. She further instructed me to write "laptop" and "$100" at the bottom of the page. I initialed the first two areas, and then directed my attention to the section for listing the contents of the package. I verified that I should write "laptop & charger" and then the actual value of the device rather than the "$100" response she suggested, because that would affect the compensation for damages. Her response, "I'm not a lawyer... I'm not trained in law, so I don't know. It's $2.50 for every additional $100." I took a moment to absorb the absurdity of her response. After a brief pause, she extended a copy of the Terms and Conditions and suggested, "Here's a copy if you'd like to read it at home." Seriously? Am I taking too long to determine whether I can trust you to package and ship my expensive electronic device? I'm not asking you to fully comprehend liability law. I'm verifying the validity of something you instructed me to do; a component of your likely everyday exchange. Considering the comparably high price tag, I expected better, more comprehensive service. This was an uneasy, unflattering exchange at best. I often give people the benefit of the doubt, but her poor attitude and carelessness suggests my services would be better handled elsewhere, despite my preference for UPS.
