Bought a car from here and I live 3 hours away. I had good service from when I signed all the paperwork. Took the car home and I noticed the next day that the blinker in the mirror had a hole in it from what looked to be a rock. I still had my 30 days warranty and I called to get the blinker fixed. Drove back there to get it fixed and in the process of them trying to fix it they told me the mechanic had a hard time getting the actual mirror off and In the process ended up cracking the mirror! Didn’t even fix the blinker but cracked the mirror. The car service guy I dealt with that was in charge of my car getting fixed told me that the mechanic ended cracking the mirror and told me that he was going to ship out a new mirror to my house and I had to go to a dealership that my car is made by. He didn’t even bother to reimburse me for the miles and the gas I had spent to get there and was sketchy about even offering me anything. I had to ask him myself and even still he didn’t seem to do anything to help me and about 3 seconds later he then was like “oh, ya I can give you gas let me go ask my supervisor” then said “ya I can give you gas actually” and didn’t even ask anyone on the spot? He seemed to have little social skills with customers and I felt like I was rushed to leave. I then had to drive back home a 3 hour drive and the package came to my house. Took it in to my local shop and they fixed it in 25min. I told my local shop how it’s so interesting that you guys can fix a simple blinker but my dealership can’t and they have a designated service department. I then looked up on YouTube on how to fix it and it was a simple 10min process. It just baffles me that the service department couldn’t fix?? I think they need to get rid of some of there mechanics! Needless to say I wasted $40 on gas and put 800 miles on my new car for nothing!! And to top it all off the guy that I talked to in the beginning to get the car did nothing to help me and completely ignored my texts!! Thanks J.R and ESPECIALLY thank you Manuel Gonzalez! If you do end up going to the service department make sure you don’t get Manuel Gonzalez and if you do ask for someone else!!

Have always had good services here until last month, November 2017. Safety become the issue and it is nothing to be joking. Took my car in for regular oil change and an alignment. I specifically asked them to check my struts and repeatedly asked them if it is safe for me to drive out of town. When i picked up my car, my service consultant, CASS CUP, ENSURED that my car is safe to drive out of town. Trusted Cass, I drove from Des Moines to Iowa City during Thanksgiving week. I've made it to Iowa City just about the right time to hear this rattling noise from my front wheels. Took it to Iowa City Toyota. I was not able to drive at a normal speed to the shop as the steering wheel were shaking uncontrollably. Manage to get it there and found out that my wheels were NOT, WERE NOT, SECURE FASTENED when they aligned my wheels. How is that even possible? I've tried contacting Des Moines Toyota for and explanation, and it took them 2 WEEKS to get back to me with BS answer and that was it. NOTHING. I can't believe they've could just dust it off like that. This is just unbelievable and CASS CUP as a service consultant, no thank you!

I had the worst experience at this dealership. The entire time I was there, they were rushing me into everything. Roland literally took my card from my hand and made a $500 payment when I was still not sure if I wanted to lease a car. Roland was literally convincing me to get the base model in Toyota Camry when I wanted to get another model. I later went to Wilson Toyota in Ames, they did a better job. Finally, I called this dealership and asked for a refund since I was not interested. Kurt would not give a refund and tried to convince me to come back and buy the car they showed me. I got really annoyed and scolded them, and after that they said they will refund the money. I hope that I receive my money soon.

While visiting from out of state we decided to test drive a few cars. Kurt was very knowledgeable about the Highlander and 4-Runner models we were interested in. His professional, easy going manner led us to trade in our much loved Suburban for a 2018 Highlander. We would recommend Kurt to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. It turned out to be a great buying experience.

I have purchased 3 vehicles from them and have always been happy! However this month after a deer totaled my 2016, I got a price for a 2018 Corolla from this dealer and my local dealer in Ottumwa. On the surface Des Moines was 800.00 cheaper! Des Moines adds a 950.00 docking fee at the end of the process. To me this is every dishonest. They have lost my business in the future! Make sure you ask for the out the door price otherwise you will miss this! I ended up getting a model upgrade for 200.00 cheaper! This why people hate purchasing new vehicles! It just feels dirty!
