It takes SO LONG just to get anything done here. I was fine with that, I put up with over a year of appointments just to get my crown done. But I had originally gone in for a wisdom tooth removal. I finally had it scheduled for today. 1.5 years later. Last week, I get a reminder about my appointment today. No problem. I show up today for my appointment, and receive a call from them while I am parking in their lot saying they rescheduled my appointment for next month. Unprofessional. On a positive note, my student provider Caroline was awesome. I hope she gets out of this place and has a great career.
I have always loved the dentist but unfortunately I went to West Broadway Family Dental and a dentist there destroyed my tooth. I had SUCH anxiety after and tried all different places. THANK GOD I FOUND TUFTS. These guys are very well practiced and trained. I was completely at ease, the procedure was quick, my anxiety was addressed appropriately, not just one person but several people worked on the diagnosis in the technician was 100% brilliant for my root canal procedure. I used to be afraid of going to all types of students because I have chronic debilitating immune disorder, but when it comes to Tufts Dental School I no longer have that assumption. Some places just do do it better than others. The way the facility is run and designed is beneficial to both the community and the higher learning Dental professionals. Thank you SO MUCH!!!
If I could give zero stars that's what they deserve. I initially called and spoke to someone there about what I needed to be done. I told them I'm disabled and needed work that was too expensive at a specialist and she told me that they would work with me. I was charged over 80 dollars before I even saw the doctor who when I did get there told me they charge more than specialists. He then gave me a cost of 3 times more than the dentist I had seen before going there. I spent over 80 dollars for 15 minutes of nothing! They are a scam. Avoid this place!!!!
Tufts Dental, Boston, MA Dr Jordan Willner, Oral Surgeon, Tufts Dental I have had more than my share of dental work but it is rare to find a dentist or dental surgeon who is kind, thoughtful and extremely precise and skilled. I received dental implant procedures from Dr Jordan Willner and I am consistently impressed by his skills in placing the dental implants quickly and painlessly. Always considerate of my needs during the placements, he advised me before he started each piece of the procedure about what he was going to do and asked if I needed anything to simply raise my hand slightly to notify him. He was thorough but was done more quickly than the average. I also had significantly less post-op swelling and pain than in my other implants. I am so grateful for his concern for my comfort during the procedure and his excellent post-procedure plans for care. His superior skills were demonstrated by dexterity, strength and knowledge to approach each implant quickly but thoroughly, providing direction to his assistant and reassurance to me. He is also very prompt and thorough about answering any questions. August, 2022
The best. My daughter woke up one morning with an excruciating tooth ache. We brought her to our regular dentist who ended up saying that nothing could immediately be done to ease her pain... called tufts, explained that the child was in tears and they told me to bring her in- even though it was like 20 minutes before they were supposed to close. The whole dentistry team was so friendly, they extracted her problem tooth quickly and made her feel comfortable. Needless to say, I am switching all of my children over to tufts and will be seeing them as our regular dentist from now on.
I had a filling done in 2001. I recently found out from another dental facility this year 2022 that the tooth I had the filling done was left hollow, the dentist just sealed my tooth with out filling it in. For all these years!! I’m appalled and beyond disappointed. I experienced so much pain in my tooth for all these years.
Avoid all classes/lectures with Hitesh Tolani. He is not properly educated in the dental field, a lousy instructor, and has an extensive track record of harassing and demeaning students.
Very disappointed ! My appointments was scheduled for Feb.3 2022. I got a call on Jan 11 and was told that they had an opening for a consultation on Jan 12 @3:30. Instead of waiting until Feb 3 2022. So I had to drive for almost an hour to get there..not really a big deal. So I got up too the 8th floor then was given paperwork to complete...and was told the consultation was $192.00 which they did not tell me when getting the appointment. Anyway I paid the $192.00. I was called in by a dental student which I could not understand because she was from another country which her english was really poor and I could not understand what she was saying. Then I was put in a dental chair for almost an hour. After sitting for almost an hour I was called in for a panoramic type picture x-ray After they took the picture I was brought back and seated back in the dental chair....After another 45 minutes I was told that they would be calling back to complete my consultation. Here we are well over a week later and still have not called to finish my consultation.....It was bad enough that I was getting really bad feeling when I could not understand what the dental student was staying. Thinking going to tufts was not such a great idea. So I paid $192.00 to sit around for a couple hours a nothing was accomplished. Not to mention the over priced parking, gas and the time it took me to drive to Boston and back home. I did not get the consultation that I paid either...no consultation..I should get a refund...I should have read the reviews!!!! Mostly all negative reviews !!! I wouldn't have been so angry if I got the consultation I paid for considering most other dentist offer free consultations.....so don't make the same mistake I did.....READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE CHOOSING A DENTIST OR DENTAL SCHOOL.. DO A LITTLE RESEARCH COULD SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY.
I initially had a really nice, 5-star review written. I had been very pleased with the care I was receiving. I started the journey of full extractions with full dentures with the intention of getting upper and lower implants. At this writing it has been 6 weeks that I have been suffering from complications from the extractions. I am in constant pain every day. The only way to make an appointment is through your student, I cannot just call the office and schedule an appointment since she maintains her own schedule. So it takes her about 3 days to get back to me with an appointment, yes..3 days to receive a message back with the appointment date. Last time I was there I was told that the problem would resolve itself and the attending physician barely looked at me. The problem has not resolved itself. The fact that I am experiencing complications is no reason for them to receive 1-star, of course no procedure is without risk. The way they are handling this is negligent. Last time I was there it seemed very important for them to blame the complications on me and I guess they thought that they didn't have to treat me? Imagine an endocrinologist telling a patient it was their fault for being too overweight and they weren't going to treat their diabetes?? An orthopedist not treating a broken limb because it was the patient's fault for breaking it?? Now here I am a month later in even worse pain and it takes 3 days to get a message back with my appointment date, infuriating. I imagine that they will continue to point the finger at me and not do anything to treat me and I will have to try to see a local oral surgeon. I am so glad that I did not go through with the implants here. I absolutely cannot believe that they turned their back on me so quickly once I started having real problems. It is terrible how much dental care/dentures cost in this country. What I thought was going to be saving me a lot of money is actually going to cost me more in the end. Please be very careful if you have to go here. I really, really recommend that you look into one of the other dental schools.
Awful! Five years of braces treatment. Five different doctors students and I just feel like a lab rat! At the end I just told them to take the braces off. Just AWFUL!!!
