Once again package not delivered.. nice to got sunday overtime with out doing the job.. Tracking states no access .. it's a private house .. this is the 3rd time..

This Post Office is run so poorly I don't mind WALKING an extra mile or two to conduct whatever business brings me to the USPS. Unless you have a specific pick up at this location, I strongly recommend you make some extra time to commute to either Kew Gardens or Forest Hills PO's, you'll meet at least a basic level of customer service unlike at Richmond Hill's. First of all, the facility is filthy. Starting from the outside all their storefront is covered in chipped paint and just dirt, but that is very common in the area. The inside is just as unkempt though, those floors and counters haven't seen a mop or disinfectant since the 90's or whenever either of those employees was last hired, whatever happened last. All the employees have an "I rather be somewhere else doing something else" attitude, either with their sluggish movements and mannerisms or their condescending (or straight out rude) tone. If they ever do anything that seems remotely nice for you they WILL let you know that "It's a first time courtesy" and that it won't happen again, regardless if what they did is included on their regular policy/duties or it's an actual favor (I've heard this line at least once per visit to the PO, either towards me or someone else, it seems to be their signature phrase. It doesn't matter if you're asking for a 3" piece of tape to secure the end of a tube or to scan mail pieces with prepaid labels on them, anything that requires just a little more effort than what they're willing to put in on a daily basis will trigger that reaction). This one time, I watched a woman waiting on an employee for SEVERAL minutes while she was told a package was being retrieved for her, but by the time the young employee came back the only thing she was holding in her hands was her stomach while telling her fellow workers that were looking for her "Sorry, I just ate something really bad"... She could've at least told another employee she was heading to the restrooms to let the customer know she had an unexpected delay or take care of her, and she even forgot what she was supposed to be doing when she came back, THAT is how much they care over there. After watching how some patrons behave at this PO you could understand how the employees turned out so bitter over time though, but it's still not excusable for poor customer service. It's just a very sad place, it's only bearable having the lowest of the expectations...
