Found in the beautiful main floor of the art deco style post office, this place is posh. Besides the beauty of the attention to detail of the architecture, the post office is slow and the lines are formed in the hallways. The workers are nice but there is no pep in their step, moving only slightly faster than your average DMV speed. As you approach the behemoth building the fastest way to the line is using the left set of doors, using that enterance you pass the automated machine option and displays of stamps. The passport office window is on that side too. The other entry has faster access to alcoves of PO boxes. I found street parking right in front but there is also a small garage made for those trying to use the post office again to the left. The pop up displays in the office area have just about everything you would expect for your mailing needs.

Very friendly and efficient staff.  Had a very positive experience using this location's services.  Rather neat building too.

The postal workers are GREAT!
My experiences over many years have been wonderful. Even with folks who are none too pleased with the wait are met with patience. Would never ever use FedEx or UPS...ever! I use three offices, routinely: Downtown, 18th Ave. and Johnson St., and the one on 31st St. off Minnehaha. Same faces for years at all three; continuity is a good thing!!! They are part of the communities they serve.

Best Post Office in the city. Beautiful Art Deco Building, and later hours then most spots.

I deliver bulk mail here and twice in the last 6 months its smell'd like weed in the warehouse. Its over bearing. Some of the forklift drivers are miserable and it looks like they hate their job. Not sure why they work at post office. I thought this was minnesota nice.
