Thinking about purchasing a new bicycle? One of your first choices, and not really an easy one, will be where to start shopping. While many specialty stores and giant department stores have bicycles in stock, very few, if any, can make sure you get a bicycle that will be safe, perfectly-adjusted, and fit your body well. In department stores, the workers who build the bikes are often paid on a per-bike basis and are undertrained, if trained at all, in bicycle mechanics; unfortunately, this often achieves one thing: quantity over quality, resulting in unsafe and slipshod bikes. At every level of Vitesse, our staff is competent, knowledgeable, and well-trained.

Our highly-trained and knowledgable staff--made up of athletes, experts, and life-time runners--will guarantee that you get the perfect fit for your foot and activity. Come in for advice on anything running or walking: marathons, 5Ks, training, or injury prevention. No matter the sport or activity, you can rely on us for the best recommendations and equipment.

When you buy from Vitesse Cycle & Often Running, you not only support a local small business, but the local community. Vitesse Cycle & Often Running are dedicated to the service of the community at-large and are heavily involved in local communities, charities, and schools. For the past twelve years we have sponsored the McLean County Wheeler’s Spring Metric and for ten years we have participated in their Bike Give-Away. Most philanthropic relationships vary from year to year, but there are a few we support annually; we proudly provide continued support to The Lake Run Club, Tri Sharks, the McLean County Wheelers, the Farm Bureau's “Ag in the Classroom”, The Illinois Heart and Lung Association, and the International House at ISU. We’re proud of our community and are excited for its future; we will always strive to promote healthy lifestyles as we continue to improve our product offerings and customer service.

If possible, please bring your old shoes with you when shopping for a new pair so that our knowledgeable staff can best determine your correct shoe/foot type.
