Very professional service.  We entered a disputed valuation with our insurance company.  Neil gave an honest assessment of our position given the profile of our vehicle, which was deemed a "total loss."  He set realistic expectations, which we appreciated.  He then appraised our vehicle and helped us successfully dispute the low value claim settlement amount that our insurance company had previously tried to defend. His reputation in the field was excellent based on telephone references that we checked.  This is important because you must hire a credible, professional appraiser to get a successful outcome since the insurance company will be doing the same and the appraisers must agree or otherwise hire an umpire to arbitrate.  Don't try to handle the dispute process by yourself.  Hire West Coast Auto Appraisals.  It is money well spent and you will be glad you did.

Neil is a class act and did a fantastic job.  He was very reasonable with turnaround and extremely helpful with information and working with the insurance appraiser.  A huge help to me and I definitely recommend him!

Invest hundreds to save tens of thousands sounds too fantastic. Neil potentially saved us $75,000 on a 1962 Jaguar, welded louver, flat floor E-type roadster. The $150,000 price was a tempting investment prospect. I reasoned to my wife that our investment may double or triple in a 10-year period. We withdrew the money from a retirement savings account and went to pick up the vehicle. Thankfully, it did not start. The seller agreed to perform repairs and we contacted our insurance company for agreed value coverage. The underwriter stated, for vehicles exceeding $50,000, we needed a professional vehicle appraiser to confirm value. Neil at West Coast Auto Appraisals said he would inspect the vehicle, on a lift, at the dealership.

I expressed to Neil a couple red flags I'd noticed in the interim while further inspecting the vehicle. Neil confirmed my suspicions, during his inspection, that it was actually the body of one vehicle and the front sub-frame/drive-train of another to create a "Numbers Matching" impostor. Neil also found many frightening sub-standard repairs previously performed on the vehicle during it's "restoration." I had completely overlooked the underside because the vehicle looked so nice up top. I fancy myself as a guy who knows a lot about cars, but what Neil knows can confirm or dispute that your investment truly is an investment. We passed on the vehicle but learned a valuable lesson. We will definitely contact Neil again when we find another investment grade vehicle. - Robert B.

Needed an auto appraisal for a 87 Porsche 911 I was using as collateral for a bank loan. I went with West Coast because of their reviews and pricing. Neil was awesome to work with. Not only did he offer the best price, he delivered the report in under 36 hours. Other places wanted to charge an "expedited" fee to have it done in 2-5 days. I'm very pleased with the service West Coast/Neil provided. I highly recommend.
