I received an ad in the mail for a free PA state inspection, so I took my car here. They did a thorough inspection & analysis. However, they wanted over $1000 for the total repairs, and insisted it was a great deal, and I'd be lucky to get a better price elsewhere. I decided to have an auto shop I'm more familiar with complete the inspection and give me a second estimate for the repairs. I went down to pick up my car which they said would be ready in 5-6 minutes. When I told them I wasn't going to pay that price and get inspected with a second opinion (which I did so respectfully and kindly) they had blocked my car in, and said it would be an extra hour before I could leave. I had to leave, and come back later. When I finally did get my car back, I was offered a price elsewhere for about 50% of the estimate they offered. So if you go here, be prepared to either accept whatever high price they want, or risk petty maneuvers like that.

I had a hell of a day that day. Arrived (via towtruck) at location three and a half hours before they opened, with expectations that I'd be waiting around while they took care of other customers before they'd be able to get to me and my vehicle. I was ready for that.

When I spoke to the manager, Greg, that morning (as soon as they opened Monday morning at 8 am), he was very sympathetic to my situation. He stated that he'd get to my vehicle as soon as he could, and I assumed (once again) that I'd be waiting. I took a walk to get some food and returned in no later than one hour later, and they had already pulled my vehicle into the garage and were inspecting it to see what they could do to help.

Great people, great teamwork, honesty, and uncommon empathy. Thank you, guys, so much for your service and your understanding. You guys rock, and I wish you the best.

Since no review is complete without some sort of suggestion or critique, I think the one thing I could suggest is to follow up with not only the negative reviews, but also the positive ones here on Google and wherever else you check your reviews. Focus on the positive while addressing and repairing the negative.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The service was fast and cost efficient. I am very impressed with their service, and plan on making it my go to place for repairs!!

Went In there to get my Car AC checked. First off its free for a car AC check all other places wanted at least $350 dollars but they were free. Went I without an appointment and they fixed the problem within an hour and a half I would recommend this place to others

I just want to say thank you to the guys at AAMCO transmissions in Crafton. When my Mustang wouldn't start, I thought it was the battery, so I put in a brand new battery, which worked for the time being. I drove it for a day and a half and I noticed that it was already down to half power. I took it to Greg at AAMCO, who I've grown to trust with my cars and he said he'd look at it that day. In the past, I've been to other shops and many of them would give me a laundry list of problems and I'd wonder if they were just making this stuff up.

Greg called me that afternoon. He said Jake had looked under the hood and they figured out that my alternator was shot. So then I was expecting to pay a boatload, but i didn't. I'd say I paid about a third of what I was expecting to pay. The hourly rate was reasonable and they didn't even mark up the price of the alternator. I don't really know much about auto mechanics, but every time i've been to this aamco, they take the time to explain the problem, and I never feel rushed or pushed into making a decision. Some places take forever and you wonder if they need the extra time to mess your car up so they can fix it, but not AAMCO in Robinson.
