When we booked the flight, it indicated that Alamo and their services were located at the airport. When we arrived at the airport, that was not the case. We had to call Alamo who did not answer the phone for a while. We eventually found out that Alamo was not located at the airport and we would have to wait for a shuttle. And wait we did! Because no one answered the phone and it took a while to get a shuttle. Once we got there, the two men working didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. It was a longer process then I would've liked and I didn't really understand a lot of the things they were explaining. It didn't seem like they did either. The car itself drove fine and it was great on gas. It was just when we needed. We had called to asked what we should do since our flight left so early. We were informed by Alamo customer service that even though the location was closed, an Alamo shuttle to the airport would be available to us and all we had to do was drop off the keys. That we did and of course, we called when we saw no one and a customer service rep said no shuttle running until they opened hours later. Almost missing our flight due to last minute car arrangements, to say we are unhappy would say the least. I would recommend going with a company on site at the airport! More convenient and probably better communication!

Waited over 20 min for shuttle from airport, then rode 7 miles to the Savannah Ave location.  The guys were nice enough, but watched us get in the wrong car (that they had pulled up to the curb for us) and let us sit there for about 5 minutes while we struggled to figure out why the car wouldn't start.  I had to go back in and ask, knowing that they watched me the whole time and didn't say anything...  really lame.  Will not rent from this location EVER again.

Very bad customer service at Charleston Savannah Hwy location. The lady at the front desk, with a frozen and fake smile, did not show any disposition to help us with a problem in the renting that was risking our ability to get the flight on time. Fortunately, the competitor across the street, Enterprise, solved the problem in less than 10 minutes.

Went to rent a car from this location today. I had paid upfront through priceline, so I didn't expect any issues or delays. But of course there were issues and the staff had no desire to help, even though I had already paid. Long story short, I couldn't pick up the car I had ALREADY paid for. I went across the street to Enterprise where I had no issues whatsoever.

I rent from alamo at least once a month and Rebecca was so awesome. also Herman is great thanks to Rebecca I will rent at alamo everytime I  go to South Carolina.
