Story

Welcome to Auto Buying Service, started by Frank and Wanda Lewark in 1970. Their goal was to provide quality vehicles to the local residents. The same goals are true today, but a lot of change has taken place. Wanda Lewark has played a major role in the State Association for independent auto dealers. She has served her local district, the state association and the national association as an officer.

Her goals have been to improve the reputation of independent used auto dealers and to exercise better rules and regulations to protect the customer from curb-stoners and unethical business practices by dealers or wholesalers.

In 2003, Auto Buying Service was honored with the National Quality Dealer Award. Wanda Lewark was the first and still the only female to win this award.

In 2005, Frank and Wanda's daughter, Betsy Briggs, rejoined the team as general manager. It's been an exciting time as the business saw extremes happening in the economy first with gas prices and then the recession.

While all of our vehicles come with a 90 day / 3000 mile warranty, many of our customers want a little more protection. That is why Auto Buying Service offers a wide range of extended warranties for most vehicles with mileage up to 150,000. Most of our vehicles qualify for the nationwide bumper-to-bumper, 5 year/100,000 mile extended care package. Ask your representative for details.



SELLING YOUR VEHICLE?

Come straight to Auto Buying Service and you will get a fair offer for your car, truck, or van! If you owe money on it, we will handle the payoff. You don't have to make a trip to the bank with the stranger buying your car so you can pay off your loan and then get a title mailed to you in 2 weeks. We won't ask you to leave your plates on the car just long enough for us to get it home.

You get the idea. We are a small company, family owned and operated. We have about 10 employees, several are family, the rest just feel like family. :) We will offer you coffee, give you a comfortable place to wait while we appraise your vehicle / buy your car.
