Located under the Valet area of the Aria, but if the counter will be closed you can return the car by driving into the Self Park lot and drop the keys in a box.

From my previous experience with various car rentals, I was expecting to go through this routine torture of "You absolutely need to have this extra insurance" and "If you are not going to upgrade to premium, I will keep looking at you as a piece of sh...".
Surprisingly, I got a car after a super-simple booking process (no credit card required). 
The car was new Mazda 6 in a perfect condition (except a tiny scratch on the front bumper). No brainwash and up-sells during pickup - I got what I wanted, no questions asked. But the best of all was when I logged in to check my credit card balance: not a sign of any "safety deposit" - I was charged cent-to-cent what was estimated during online booking process.

Dropping the car off the next day 5:30am at the airport was yet another easy thing to do. I was met by a nice guy who, again, was not trying to do whatever it takes to find any "damage" and charge me extra. The whole process took me like 3 minutes and 0 nerve cells.

Thank you, Avis. Will definitely use your services again.

Worst rental car experience I've had so far.  Had a reservation 11 days in advance, but this location refused to fulfill it.  They had the reservation details incorrect from what I was told on the phone, so I had to call my corporate number to have it corrected in the system.  When the phone representative was able to correct the reservation, I went back to the counter only to be told "My manager said we are going to refuse to rent to you".  When I asked for a reason I was told "we can refuse to rent to anyone".  I feel discriminated against.  I had to walk a mile to another location to get my reservation.  I asked for an apology but still no contact from the manager.

Very easy to rent from this location. Another nice thing is that you can check the car out but you don't have to drive it off at that time since its parked in the self-park garage at Aria which is open all the time. Drop off is also the same place and you can leave your keys in a drop box.

So easy to rent from Avis.  Located at the Main Valet area of Aria Hotel.  Easy walk to pick up the car.   For the return, I just filled up the car with gasoline, left the receipt for the gas inside, and dropped the key off at the drop box.
So much better than renting from the airport.  We took the car for a drive to beautiful Lake Las Vegas and also to Lake Mead for a boat rental.  It was perfect.
