Rented a car for the last two months here. It was the nearest station from my apartment. It’s a very small station with only a few cars. After the first month they raised the costs for the second more than $200! No explanation on this from anyone. Also I was not able to switch my car. 

I had a full size Chevy Malibu which was ok, even if not really the expected full size ;-) as I git the car the gas was not showing fully full. Got told that this is normal for this car. At returning I filled up gas completely at Kroger direct to the station and showed my receipt because it was not showing full. That was painful discussion, it was the same person I was there the first time. She forced me to drive again and fill up some additional gallon, which nit worked because it was already full! Not customer friendly and aggressive talk „if I am not filling up by myself she will charge me $200“. This is hilarious and bad! Will never come back to this station and blacklisted it also for my company!

The location at Taylorsville Rd and Stony Brook is pathetic! I had a 7 passenger vehicle reserved for an 8 day vacation. I was told to arrive for pick up at 4:00 pm. After walking 2 miles in 94 degree heat I arrived at 3:58 only to find out that they really didn't have a vehicle for me. I asked why I wasn't called and told this before I walked 2 miles and I was told that the manager (Jennifer) told them not to contact anyone. The clerk suggested that I call another rental agency. Not sure if you have tried this but it is near impossible to find a 7 passenger auto at any time much less at 4:00pm on the day you are leaving. I was given Jennifer's phone number which I called twice. The clerk also mentioned that she probably wouldn't answer because they had done the same thing to several clients on the same day. I am still waiting for Jennifer's call! The clerk was extremely nice. I felt bad for her, that she was put in a position to be dishonest with people just to protect her manager. I'm still not sure what they expected me to do about a vehicle. I will never ever trust this location with any reservation again.

I always rent through Avis after some not-great experiences with some of their competitors. I get great rates, the service is awesome, and it's generally a no-hassle experience. Occasionally there will be a slow transaction, but on the whole, I've had great, smooth interactions with Avis.
