Worst customer experience I have ever encountered!! Whilst I was staying at the Luxor this week I decided I wanted to hire a car at short notice. As Avis had a car rental location on site i thought this would be perfect. After ringing from my hotel room and being told that a rental for an economy vehicle was available but would cost more than double the rate online (supposedly tax???), I decided to book online. 10 minutes later I received a call from the same guy who said that the car wasn't available and that I would need to pay an extra $180 for a mustang or collect from the airport at my expense. After asking how this was possible and could a car be collected from a neighbouring hotel I was given a point blank no, and that it wasn't his problem. Avis head office customer service was just as bad and blamed the local rental. All they could offer was my money back or an unlimited wait for a vehicle. In the end I booked with Alamo at the airport for half the price and hassle. Stay away from Avis, especially at the Luxor location.

I want to give this location 0 star. The service here is Really Really Bad. We go there early and to pick up the car but the guy in there playing us around about 2 hours. And I have baby with me. He is horrible. And the price we booked is different. So horrible. Don't deal with Avis in this location.

Representative needs like 15 minutes to serve one customer and doesn't care that maybe 7 or 8 others are waiting in line. 
Avis @ Mandalay wasn't better. They had no customers but no time to call another location for a car. 

Avis did a lousy job this weekend.

Reservation was easy and vehicle selected was available.  The main thing is that it was very convenient as the Avis was right in our hotel main lobby.  Once we got there, the paper work only took 5 minutes to completed and signed.  We were very happy with the vehicle selected, it was very clean and organized.

Updated on September 2nd 2015: They had admitted their mistake and refund me the amount not due on my credit card. You can count on them, they have proved to be serious and reliable!

First review: Not satisfied! I gave back the GPS to the Avis employee and then the they charged me a lot of money because I didn't leave it in the car! I was very sorry for such poor experience. I won't rent a car with Avis anymore.
