Recently had a bad experience with Avis. Reserved a vehicle online prior to coming to location. When I arrived to get the rental, they did not have the vehicle that I reserved online. I asked the employee about the vehicle and was told that they didn’t have it and it was nothing they could do about it but give me a smaller vehicle. This was not acceptable, it really put me in an inconvenience and ruin everything that was planned because I no longer had a vehicle. This shouldn’t happen when someone reserves a vehicle in advance. I had to cancel the rental and go to the competition. This is my last time choosing Avis for car rental services.

I am Totally dissatified with the customer service I recieved from Avis this past weekend . I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and understanding from both the customer service counter  (Daisy & Ms. Pat) and the customer service line . I am an Avis preferred member and have used Avis exclusively for my business travel in the past. However ,this weekend my 2 year daughter and I had a car accident in the rental . I am thankful we were not seriously hurt , But Avis did nothing for us when  I went to them to switch to a reliable car . Instead they sent us away with the damaged car   and informed me they will notify me of the chargers once the vehicle was assessed. I was forced to drive the wrecked car 6 hours home with the hood tied down with rope .That was proof to me that if they would not take care of and Avis preferred member and her 2 year old daughter they woud not take care of anyone. Bottom line take care of your rental car business elsewhere and not Avis .

I am a frequent car rental and Avis customer. I also seldom if ever write reviews unless customer service was outstanding, as I figure someone may have just been having a bad day. Over the last 8 months my travel agency has been sending me to the Baton Rouge airport Avis location. While I would tell you that in general the experience was okay, I would also say that there is one member of their staff, a young man who works weekends, who has absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had in any rental car agency anywhere in the nation. I wish I could tell you it was a one-time thing but it wasnt. He obviously knows he has an issue too because he refused to provide me his name, and I wasn't yelling or anything like that...just mildly frustrated when the poor service / attitude occurred for the third time. One time i watched him go take a break when he had 3 people + me standing there waiting for assistance. There was nobody else at the desk either. Having owned companies and valuing customer service, it is my opinion he either should be let go or moved to a position where he does not represent the company at a desk level. I have to assume he is related to someone in management because I have seen the same behavior to other customers as I was waiting behind them for assistance. Management has to have heard this comment prior.

Best place to rent a car at the airport. Always good service. The only one that still takes debit cards if you need that option.
