This is a belated note to say what a great experience it was to buy bikes at Big Wheel Bikes in Alexandria. About a year ago after doing some research, we walked to Big Wheels to look at bikes and test them. Marco was our sales guy and he is extremely knowledgeable and asked us all the right questions to confirm the types of bikes we wanted/needed. We got a good deal on two Fuji ABS 2.1 and we have been using them for about a year and we've had no issues. The bikes are fun and easy to ride. We go back to Big Wheels to get air for the bikes and to check in with Marco and the other great folks working at Big Wheels. Overall it was a great experience. These guys know customer service and have a great attitude for helping out bike riders of any level/experience.

Big Wheel Bikes is one of the easiest and nicest businesses to work with that I have ever come across. As someone who knows very little about bikes and thus relies upon a bike shop for any repairs or adjustments, a repair shop could easily take advantage of me and charge me for unnecessary parts or repairs. Instead, Big Wheel has taken care of me since day one, often times at no charge for minor repairs. Bennett and Mehdi are especially pleasant to work with, always taking the time to understand the issue at hand and explain anything they have done. To top it all off, the shop gets repairs done efficiently (never waited more than a few days) and effectively (my issues have always been solved). I am not sure what more you could want from a bike repair shop!

These guys are passionate about bikes, thoroughly knowledgeable, patient and helpful, and embody all of the great traits of a reliable small business. I am so glad I made my purchase there, and I would do it again and again. Do yourself a favor and try this store.

Personal service!  I like going into a bike shop where you are greeted with a smile and they remember my name!  Never too busy to help.  Good advice, good bikes, knowledgeable staff!
I have been a regular customer for over 1 year now!

Everyone seems to love this shop. But, not a fan. I prefer the other shop slightly north.
