Wonderful resort. I am giving it 4 1/2 stars, although would have liked to say 5. The price is super for what you get. Great value. Book through the resort this week to get free breakfast. We did not. Room needed to be picked up better. So many amenities, but the best part is that it is right in the heart of everything and oceanfront! Enjoy. Would like to come again for a week. Just fantastic. Book it!!!

This is the second time we have stayed here. We watched multiple groups of people smoking weed in the hot tubs day after day, never seen a worker checking on the grounds/pool areas unless it was early in the morning. Makes a wonderful experience of the kids. Sailfish Elevator was broken for more than 4 hours unfortunately the building only has one. When we got ready to leave in the morning our window was broke out of our car along with four other vehicles. They set up a shop vac for us to use to get the glass out only after being asked by the police department if they had something for all of us to use. When my husband was able to clean the glass out one of the workers were angry we were blocking her way, after she was yelling sir sir to get his attention to move because only she mattered at that moment apparently. I asked her to get off her bike and walk it around the shop vac. Her response was “Ugh Americans”. After reflecting on this entire situation one security officer said he was Patrolling the area all night and “they were keeping him busy” the other gentleman was only worried about getting the scene cleaned up while the lady was extremely nice and even tried calling a few glass places. We were offered 1 Accommodation a garbage bag and some tape. Unfortunately we will never be back. Maybe more security is needed for the parking lots other then 1 person. I’m glad they have Cameras but what good do they do if no one is watching.

The hotel staff and management are always pleasant and friendly. The building we stayed in had pools, a lazy river, jacuzzis and a play area (water slide, kiddie pools etc.) for the little ones. The building is also beach front so if you want, you can have a great view of the ocean/beach. We've stayed here twice (once in 2017 and 2018) and each time the room was in need of a deep cleaning. For instance this time the shower heads were nasty, however we called the front desk and within minutes they'd replaced the shower heads. The kitchen sink had mold/mildew and that was easily cleaned as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the breakers resort and loved the room! Location was perfect for great access to the boardwalk and beach. Loved the option of adding breakfast to our stay (which was fantastic BTW). The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is because our a/c stopped working during our second day staying. That night was hotter for us and we asked for fans for the room but never got any. Not sure if they just didn't find them? Will update this when we complete our visit.

Please reconsider staying at the Palmetto. Pictures look nice but the building is completely run down, the walls are dirty and chipping paint. The carpets are worn. The furniture is disgusting. There were bugs in our room. I was genuinely uncomfortable the entire time we were in this building. There are black out curtains in the room with NO light liner curtain between the door and the black out curtains. The balcony door faced the other rooms in the neighboring building. Therefore we could either have the room completely dark with the curtains closed (So that the people across the way could not see us changing etc.) Or we could have natural light with a view of our neighbors in an uncomfortable way. With all of this being said, the pools are nice many options to pick from. The rusty reel was dirty sometimes but had a nice view of the ocean and decent happy hour prices. The pool areas have nice lounge chairs over looking the ocean which I enjoyed.
