Same people here every time! Love the staff! We have been staying here for the last 5 years and will continue to stay here. Rooms are clean, and newly renovated. Your about a mile from Broadway at the beach and a mile or so from the boardwalk. Beautiful property, a lazy river, a heated outdoor pool and half inside half outside heated pool, and a hot tub. There's also a small water park for the kids. There's plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and bar area and there are even tables and chairs under umbrellas in a grass area after the pool right before the beach starts. Amazing views ocean front, but you still have a really good view from an angle view. All in all, you'll always know what your going to get at this place and won't be disappointed.

I booked two rooms with resort view due to being pleased with pictures. Upon arrival, we were put in the west building. The room was dirty overall , the beds were old, the sheets were dirty! We were highly disappointed with the room so I asked to upgrade the room and was told that they were booked. I checked online and it was multiple rooms available. The second room I booked for my sister in law who was unable to check in due to her being 22. The check in age is 25 which wasn’t stated on the website we booked through. Which was completely find but they weren’t trying to process her refund! Overall the customer service was trash and the first room we were given was completely unacceptable! I paid a $100 deposit and I have not received it back.

We didn't stay here but we visited some friends staying here for about 6 hours while we were at a cheer competition back in April at the convention center. Location is good but room our friends were staying in was pretty dated. Convenient to River City Cafe and Dirty Don's Oyster Bar which are very good eateries. Their room was right beside the pool. Smoke detector low battery warning kept going off. Staff swapped the battery within 15 mins of being called. I wish I could give it a higher rating for the staff members we encountered which were very good but the room I visited was just old.

First time at Dayton House, not my first time in Myrtle Beach. We have a one bedroom suite with a Murphy bed. + Staff was incredibly friendly at check-in + The view from oceanfront room is nice + The grassy area for tanning is a plus + Location is good + Free parking - Price was a little steep for the room condition - Laundry is NOT in the building, I have to go across the street (and pay to use) - The rooms are outdated and not the cleanest - It smells like someone smoked in it before us - Carpet floors instead of wood or tile (no vacuum to clean up sand) - The layout is odd, with only one bathroom - The utensils and dishes were not clean at check in - Only have two small pots (no pan for morning pancakes, no pizza tray or pizza cutter) - Bowls aren't big enough, they are snack size - The room is just too small for 5-6 people, there isn't a good place for luggage Bottom line- The room needs a remodel. It would be fine for a group of 3-4, without kids. If you plan to do laundry, bring a basket and some quarters. If you plan on cooking, you may also want to bring some dishes and pans from home!

Enjoyed our stay. Went on a spontaneous vacation with my family with last minute booking on Easter break. Was nervous what type of room I would be getting. But it was a nice room a little dated but very clean. Would stay here again!! Love the location!!! Great prices compared to other hotels in same condition.
