My brother flew from Rhode Island into WPB to visit our elderly mother in Stuart. He had reserved a mid sized car. When he arrived in West Palm, he was told there were no cars available and they could rent him a truck. He explained that my 95 year old mother couldn't get in and out of a truck, but they had no cars. They assured him that the Stuart budget location would  trade it out for a  car. (They didn't call, because it was after the Stuart location had closed.)  He called on Sunday and they said they had no  cars and to call back Monday. When he called today, they said they had no cars available. This was a  blatant lie, because I called and asked if I could rent a car today, and was told they have 2 midsize available. My brother called back, and was again told there were no cars. When he confronted this as a lie, Belvia told him she wouldn't make the exchange because she "couldn't make any money off that deal" even though it was Budget's error. Talk about how to lose a customer for life!

I had a great experience renting here. The staff was able to accommodate my needs promptly and gracefully. I will surely consider Budget on my next trip to Harrisburg.

My sisters rented a car for me here and they wouldn't let me pick it up -- even though it was in my name. She had pre-paid it on her credit card to be nice and I’m guessing that’s the issue.

I asked if we could just put it under my credit card and they said if we called and lied to the Budget corporate office it would be fine. Why wouldn't you simply allow someone to change the credit card without lying to the Budget corporate office. 

Any business that suggests lying to get around a policy should be avoided.
