Absolutely horrible customer service. Avoid this Budget location at all costs.  I was scheduled for a cruise out of the Port of Miami on January 28, 2018. I booked a car rental with Budget from Orlando to Miami. Budget told me to return the car to this location in Miami and that there would be a free shuttle service from this location to the port of Miami for my cruise. However, on the day of the return, there was a marathon in downtown Miami. I could not even get access to this location despite driving around in crazy, bumper-to-bumper traffic for over an hour. I parked the car on the side of the road with the permission of a police officer and walked 1 mile to this location. At the suggestion of the police officer, I asked the Budget representative at this location to pick up the car after the Marathon. He was completely unwilling to do so and was totally unsympathetic even though I could not get to him and was in danger of missing my cruise. This was his stubborn position even though he had two employees just standing in the parking lot next to the office building just talking and doing nothing. When I pointed this out, he said that it was the customer’s responsibility no matter what to return the car to this location. I have a video of this exchange. The guy was a real ass. I ended up returning the car to Budget at the Miami Airport, and then taking a cab from the airport to the port of Miami. I arrived just 18 minutes before the terminal doors were closed. It was extremely stressful and Budget didn’t give a rip about the problem they had caused. To add insult to injury, Budget also charged me for delivering the vehicle to a different location than was originally selected. I had to call Budget to get this additional charge removed, but Budget was unwilling to do anything else, including reimburse me for the $27 cab ride from the Miami airport to the port of Miami. Totally sick. I will not use Budget again.

Worst car rental company ever, made a reservation for a car and when i went in was told that my license wouldn't validate in their system. They wouldn't tell me why and when i tried to tell them it was definitely my license i was chuckled at and was told no its not as the guy shook his head. (I wish i knew his name cause i would freak out at him now) I was then forced to go to another car rental and paid almost $100 more and my license worked fine. I called their customer care and explained my situation and was told that no report was made that i couldn't rent my car because of my license. So there was nothing they could do to help me. Because some MORON can't do his job right i get penalized for it and have to pay way more. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY EVER!! THE BUSINESS SUCKS AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES TOO!

The problem began when we were trying to book a way to the Miami Port. The agent on the phone told us that the Miami port no longer exists and we had to drive to Fort Lauderdale instead where we would get a shuttle to take us to the Miami port. Upon our arrival at Fort Lauderdale, the employees told us that no shuttle would take us there as it was over an hour drive (with traffic) to the Miami port which still in fact existed. Our only option was to rent the car again or take a taxi to the Miami port. We choose to rent the car which cost us $70 + gas money. Once we arrived in Miami we were told that no shuttles were available anymore so we had to take a taxi to the port which cost us another $20. Besides the additional, unnecessary cost caused by this mistake, we were also very stressed about getting to our ship on time so we dont miss it, resulting in an unsettling mood for our vacation. On the positive side, the rented car was nice with no issues. Overall not a good experience with this company.

DO NOT USE BUDGET OF MIAMI!!! I have been lied to, multiple times, on a variety of topics. For example, there was no cruise ship pickup at the terminal the day we came in. We called multiple times, and the hostile brutality of their customer service is only matched by their incompetence. We took a cab to the Miami location, only to be told we had no reservation, despite having the confirmation. We had to fight to get the car WE ALREADY PAID FOR. The shuttle driver? Was, I kid you not, standing outside and laughing with another employee about NOT running the shuttle. These people are monsters.
