Beware - these franchise owners/managers are dishonest.  I have lived away from St. Louis for 17 years.  I have rented from this location many, many times over the years and I have been a loyal customer.  No more.  I paid in advance for the rental and personal effects insurance.  That was all I was planning to pay.  The woman who checked me in did not ask me if I wanted any ADDITIONAL insurance, but she told me I was "all set" and all I needed to do was initial and sign the contract.  She did not explain that she had added 30.99 more per day for insurance. Why would I want this when I have it through AAA, my own car insurance and my credit card?  It ended up costing me close to $300 for a 4 day economy rental.  I called Budget and they are refunding only one day of the surcharge.  I am so disappointed in Budget/Avis.  Based on this experience I will never rent from them again.

No Information about additional costs for an additional driver (we asked before !!). In the end we paied 25% more than agreed. We are very angry about that!

The women working in the office were very friendly and very helpful.  The car was great (loved the heated seats) and it was a great value for the money.  I had shopped around a lot before choosing a rental and Budget's prices blew everyone away, but the low price did not mean bad service or an old car - both were just as good if not better than their competitors!  Will definitely rent from them again!
