I travel for work and dine out a minimal of twice per day, five days a week, that’s an average of forty meals plus per month. I can’t remember the last time I endured such a horrible dinning experience. I started off by asking about double shrimp which was advertised on the large outdoor sign, not one employee knew what I was talking about, including the assistant Manager and Manager. I said never mind and just ordered the fried fish, extra crispy fries and coleslaw, I also opted for breadsticks in lieu of hushpuppies. I’m told to take a seat and our orders will be brought to our table. They are out of plates. The fish was chewy and taste like chicken, the fries were barely cooked and I received hush puppies instead of breadsticks. I’m in town for several more days but will definitely not be returning to this location. Bathrooms were disgusting!!!!!
Great seafood at a reasonable price. We’re longtime fans of Captain D’s anyway, but this is one of the better-run locations these days IMHO. Friendly service, and even with all the options they get the details right. I love the blackened fish and shrimp, and the fried okra is great!
We had battered fish with coleslaw, green beans and hush puppies. No beverage. The fish was fresh, hot and delicious, green beans and hush puppies were great, coleslaw was cold and crisp. Quite tasty!Food: 5/5
A manager named Francis was amazing he helped me with the menu and helped me when the Apple Pay was not working. He’s a great manager and really cares about his job and people.
Great Managment great food! Keep these people around! Food is so good I drove out of my way to go to this specific branch. Keep up the great work management and Francis!
I really enjoy the reinvented Captain D's the stores have an inviting look and feel and the menu is forever changing. With classic sides and premium sides it's fast food at the next level. Hands down they are winning people over the other guys. They do offer a handicap ramp on the right side of the store. There is no automatic doors and they could be considered a little heavy. Staff seemed really friendly and for fresh it didnt take them no time to bring my order to me. And there's something to said about being able to eat with real utensils and plates.
Store is old and worn out. Less than super clean. Food was fair at best.Food: 3/5
Food is excellent; sides are delicious, price is reasonable. Unfortunately, this is likely the slowest “fast food” restaurant I frequent. For example: This evening, I went to McDonald’s to pick up food for my granddaughter, and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Conversely, at Captain D’s, I spent 10 minutes in front of the order speaker just waiting to have my order taken. I was in line just shy of 45 minutes. This isn’t an aberration; it’s typical. Not only of this location, but the chain in general; the location I frequented in the Atlanta area was the same way. There have been times it was as little as 15 minutes; others, nearly an hour; closer to the latter is more typical. I have no idea why; Long John Silvers typically is twice as fast with a similar menu. As I said before, I frequent this location because I DO love the food, so I put up with it. Just be aware of what you can expect…‍
Food is really good, the staff is very friendly and the price is affordable! I think that covers it. Try it!!
