I’d look for a different option than Maryland Fried Chicken. The chicken was over cooked with parts burnt and the sides extremely small even after paying to upgrade to a larger size. The sides were in the same size containers that are typically used in restaurants for sauces/dressings not side items… they were literally 2 bites. We were disappointed after arriving home to eat because the chicken was inedible. Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else.
I drove from Orlando to this location and arrived 10 mins before closing. A fresh batch of chicken had just came up and sides were fresh as well. I truly appreciate the two closers that were able to assist tonight. Thank you so much! It was most definitely worth the drive.
This place has the absolute best fried chicken, when its fresh. Unfortunately they prepare a lot of chicken in advance and sometimes you'll get a piece that's cold, dry and chewy. So, if the place looks busy take a chance to grab some crispy, fresh fried chicken. If the parking lot is empty though, cruise on by.
It's a dive, no doubt. I until it zed the drive thru. The speaker is broken and has been for a very long time, you can phone them or order at the pick up window. The number is on the menu board. The chicken and livers were hot, fresh and delicious. The coleslaw was cold, crisp and tasty. The fries unfortunately were cold and greasy. But I'll be back!
I've alway driven by but decided to give it a shot this time and stopped in around noon . I ordered a 3pc dark meal included 2 sides and a dinner roll , with collard greens and beans n rice. The best part of the meal was the super crispy batter on the chicken i guess i got a fresh batch according to all the previous reviews. I havent had a crispier and light skin on a chicken before. Delicious! Unfortunately the pieces were kinda tiny so i was glad to have ordered three. Collard greens were crazy salty and cold. Red beans n rice also nothing to write home about but "OK" - i mean..i did come for the chicken. Dinner rolls are served with "butter spread"- if you ask for butter. Overall delicious chicken but overpriced to me for what you got esp with the sides and the chicken size being a miss for me.
I love their gizzards and greens. I work right down the street I'll tell you what.. Been here 3 times now and I am always excited know food is going to be just rightFood: 5/5
Stopped in as I was passing through the area and I love the chicken at the Leesburg location. The people behind the counter didn't acknowledge Me until I asked, and treated Me as if I was an interruption. After I ordered I had a seat and while I was waiting I saw roaches on the table where I was sitting. I was disgusted and left ... 01-14-23 5:30pm
This place has gotten worse over the years.my food was all dried out and overcooked. The hot sauce didn't even give the food any moisture. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. That was money wasted.
This was my first and last visit. I went in around. 11:15 so they had not been open long. The service was fine and quick, I was excited to try the chicken, the collard greens and the Mac and cheese. First the chicken- the portions were large which would have been good if the food was palatable. Sadly the chicken was terrible- overcooked, in old oil you can tell, and was very salty. Couldn’t hardly eat it as it was so tough. I had asked for ranch sauce and I got about a tablespoon of sauce in a plastic container. It tasted good but would not have been enough for one tender much less three. The collards, they tasted ok, the serving size was very small. I wouldn’t eat it again. The Mac and cheese- just not good, not real cheese, packaged cheese sauce and bland. The sweet tea was so sweet I had to water it down- I am southern, I drink sweet tea, there was double the sugar than should have been in there. The roll was hard and stale. I was by myself, my meal was 15 and I gave them a tip! $18 later and I threw it out. So disappointed as there is nowhere to get good soul food.
