Loved it. One of the most amazing places I have ever seen in my life. New Mexico has two places that I love, this place and White Sands. Come early, bring food, make sure your car has gas, and pay attention to park times when the gates close/natural entrance closes. If not, you'll be stuck in the elevator line forever.

3rd time down! And by far the best, yet! Super crowded on the last weekend of Spring Break, but knowledgeable staff managed everything. So many amazing features! So massive! I enjoyed taking the elevator down and walking up. Good workout, quicker than waiting in line, and so amazing to finally seeing the (sun)light at the top of the tunnel.

You're not allowed to bring food or drink other than water into the cavern. You're not even allowed to chew gum inside the cavern. There is a restaurant at the bottom, but the choices are limited. There's a restaurants n the visitors section with a better selection if you want a hot meal. We generally eat before we go into the cavern and have hot coffee or hot chocolate when we get to the bottom. Dress warmly. Even if it's very hot outside it will be cool inside. Wear comfortable clotheswoth good walking or hiking shoes. This is not the place for flip flops. If you are up for the physical adventure of the walk-in to the Natural entrance it is stunningly beautiful. We've gone many times and I see something new every time. We love it there.

One of our favorite parks of the national park system. The caverns are amazing and inspiring. Do the self tour, we spent over 4 hours in the cave. The last must do thing is to watch the bat flight at sundown, really cool to watch them circle out of the entrance.

Definitely an experience everyone should do once. First a cool drive to the actual caves, scenic and quiet with photo op stops. Then a very very friendly staff of rangers to help you and guide you. Then the caves, they are amazing with so many your options from solo to handheld devices leading the way to guides. Can choose the cave duration length that best suites you. Spent a few hours here. Gift shop is nice and not overpriced. Would 100% recommend this day trip to anyone.
