Check in at the gift shop met with enthusiastic welcome at closing time. Surprised by the great Tent only sites (with fire pit and pic nic table). Not crowded by others or RVs  and close to Carlsbad caverns. Only downside is I don't like paying to camp. 24 Dollars for tent only site 20 w/miltary or other discount. But a wonderful experience and worth the money if you want the amenities.

Very nice gift shop/office. Not fancy camp sites, but level sites with good hookups. Closest RV park to the Caverns.

Terrific park to stay with Caverns do close!  We weren't able to book tickets for a guided tour ahead 2 days, so we didn't know if it was a busy time.  Theo, who found us a very nice spot to park our 5th wheel with full hookups, told us how we we really enjoy The Big Room on a self guided tour.  Wow are we glad we listened. This park also has a lovely gift shop that we enjoyed too.   Very friendly and super efficient!! Thank you Theo, Jacob and the young lady  who helped me with information and purchases I made.  We will be returning again !!

Condo camping in a parking lot, but we had a place to park & sleep so it served its purpose, I suppose. Has a laundry, but washers & dryers were so dirty that we had to clean them before we could use them. Didn't feel it was a good value for the money.

I have a site not in the park itself for which I'm grateful. The sites were close together and very rocky but the location to the caverns can't be beat. Good stay if you are just visiting the caverns and moving on. Felt safe but wouldn't say more than the 2 days I stayed. No cable. Had 3 over-the-air channels that faded to none. Lots of prickers so walking the dogs was difficult.
