BUYER BEWARE!!!! This dealership (sales side) is very sketchy. I got a lease from them back in 2014, and it wasn't until 2017 when I thought my lease was up that I realized in the papers the employee put 39-Month instead of 36-Month that we agreed upon. The dealership looked into it, agreeing that it was a very strange lease term. They told me the sales woman (Laura) who had gotten me into the car was no longer employed by them and that all my lease matters were in HER hands and out of THEIR hands. Regardless, I wanted to discuss purchasing my lease or getting into a new vehicle. When I tried to talk to the Dealership they refused to meet with me until 3 months before my lease was up. I am a planner-type of person and didn't want to wait until that time. After several days of emailing and begging them (David) to talk to me about a new car, I gave up and went to Auburn's Mike Scarff Subaru (will be leaving a 5-Star review for them). They immediately helped me and got me into a new car. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone I care about. The One-Star is for the Service Dept which was great and took care of my car whenever maintenance was needed.

No Hassle Purchase and Outstanding Service. This is the only dealer where i have purchased two cars in less than 15 minutes each time. No extra services were pushed, no pressure. I bought both of my cars online, went in, signed and out the door. But what stands out about this dealer is their service department. They have an amazing team, very reasonable pricing and truly care about their customers. The service team will always work with you within a reason to meet your service needs. I have not experienced such level of service even at Audi and BMW.

I had a great experience with my recent purchase of a used Outback from Carter Subaru. First off, the sales experience itself was flawless. No high pressure, no rush, lots of consultation. And when it came to purchasing / finalizing the loan / etc, they were on top of it. They even knocked some money off the final price, due to some minor repairs it needed (windshield). Next, after the purchase. So once I pulled the windshield off for a replacement, the windshield technician discovered rust adjacent to the windshield. This was obviously a shock to me, and I called Carter Subaru to ask about the issue. They were equally as shocked. And rather than do nothing (which was completely in their right to do, as I bought the car "as is"), they agreed to cover half the cost of the restoration. I thought this was a fantastic gesture from a company that clearly cares about their customers, whether they are buying used or new. The restoration was done properly, which cost about $2000, and was caught at a good time. And knowing I only I have to pay half made this much more palatable. In the end, I felt Carter Subaru acted very honorably. Discovery of the rust was just one of those things, and was a surprise to everyone. But rather than a "too bad, you bought it as is", Carter Subaru (Denny Hynes specifically) stood by their vehicle and met me in the middle to get it fixed. I am walking away with a good feeling on this. Other than the rust, the car is running very smoothly. And when it comes time to purchase my next car, I will come to these guys first, because I know, regardless of their obligations, they will stand by their vehicles.

Other dealerships said what I wanted was impossible to get. Yet, David N. at Carter Subaru was able to make my dreams come true. David got me into the vehicle I wanted, for a price that was below my budget! I made the journey to Shoreline, from Lacey and it was definitely worth it! David was very professional, and I felt like he genuinely cared about my family's needs. The process was the absolute best car-buying experience I have ever had. It was both quick, and painless. Thanks David!

Horrible customer service on my brand new 2017 BRZ I was told by both my salesman and service I would not have holes drilled into my bumper for my liciense plate so I had it installed thinking I'd be able to have the option of removing it later. I eventually took it off and there were holes in the front of my brand new car I was told weren't going to be there. I contacted Kristina the manager at services she was no help and even stopped responding out of no where and said a salesman contacted me when no salesman ever contacted me, she didn't even give a heads up she was going to end our back and forth emails and didn't ever say someone else would follow through with my problem. She basically didn't want to deal with my persistence. Talked to manager of carter Subaru as well he was also useless in helping fix their own mistake and seemed as if he just didn't want to deal with it. Basically both departments lacked knowledge and the management was unhelpful and I am left with holes in the front of my brand new car that I was told was not going to be there by more than 1 employee! And the worst part of it all was the disrespect I received from manager Kristina I was showing her the holes in my car and she kept talking over me and got irritated when I tried to talk back over her because she kept trying to cut me off from my sentence. I was not yelling just talking fast to fit all my words in before I got cut off by her again. she told me: "you need to calm down or you need to leave" I was not showing disrespect but my distress was obvious I kept as much of my cool as possible and was almost kicked out of the premises for not being able to speak out to her and have her listen. And to finish it all off the manager also told me they could fill the holes I was told weren't going to be made by his employees if I paid for it. So now I have to pay for what I was told was not going to happen! Update: contacted Subaru through their website I have email as proof on June 30th, never got a reply but got an email confirming it's been delivered and that someone would contact me. Just sent out another message through the website and this ones been confirmed as well i hope I hear back.. Update: never heard back from any messages through their website managed to get the owners email and contacted her. She was nice enough to offer to repair my bumper, and her staff claimed it was all a misunderstanding, and that they offered as well, but if that was the truth I wouldn't of been writing this review and keeping it up to date. I told her her staff isn't very honest with her and she responded "I don't believe I agree with you" I also scheduled for a maintenance and I just got a call a few days after I made my appointment that they basically are going to fix my bumper and refuse to do anymore service with me. So in conclusion of all of this carter Subaru staff have proved them self to me unknowledagble when it comes to understanding their other departments, unhonest to customers, and unwilling to help. At the end of the day damage was done to my car without me knowing (since they told me it was not going to be drilled in to) they refused to fix it, refused to give me a higher authorities contact information, ignored my messages, and lied to the owner about the situation to cover their butts because they were in the wrong and knew it. And now refuse to work on my car for any further maintences or anything at all! Buying my 2017 BRZ was no problem but anything past that moment was awful with them, good owner however.
