Colorado Plains Medical Center is a 50-bed acute-care hospital, fully accredited by The Joint Commission. With a Level III Trauma Center, a 24-hour emergency room and many other services, the hospital chiefly serves a two-county area of 35,000 people. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services including MRI, nuclear medicine, CT, radiography, ACR-certified mammography and ultrasound. Rehab services include physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Other services include behavioral health, cardiopulmonary, surgery, lab, obstetrics, wound care, dietary, sleep medicine, and home health. The facility has a network of 24 full-time providers on its staff who can treat patients for orthopedic surgery, general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology care, podiatry, behavioral and mental health in addition to pediatric and adult family care. The hospital also operates a family care clinic in Sterling, CO, primarily staffed by Dr. Paula Frantz, board certified family practitioner.
