One star that is all they deserve! My husband was admitted over a week ago, and is still in the hospital! They have done test upon test with no answers! They treated him like a dream the first few days and then after they thought he had stayed too long their treatment of him jumped off a cliff and died. He has been miserable the few days, and just wants to leave. He doesn't even care about getting answers anymore. I really thought this place was different. Its not. Its like every other hospital! Only after the money not after the well being of the patient. Its like they want to push him out of the hospital. I've seen other patients get treated better. I guess if you have money the more they are willing to do for you. I have told several Doctors that what my husband is going through has halted our lives. We had to put off trying to start a family. The first Doctor was super gunghoe about helping him get better. I want him back! These other Docs can take a hike! We just want some help! Is that too much to ask? He doesn't want to be there anymore than they want him there.

If you want rationed out healthcare based off of  probabilities of outcome then Penrose is the place for you. If the chance of living in a wheelchair encourages your doctors to try and coerce a family into changing advanced directives, against the patients own personal wishes, then I can’t imagine how many people your hospital is responsible for killing. My fathers discharging doctor told him his length of stay “ ruined our numbers”. How disgusting and really shouldn’t they have been giving that veteran their well wishes? How unfortunate that my father had to see the true basis of what penrose stands for 💵 💵💵💵

I was referred by my Doctor to the Penrose St. Francis sleep center to get a pulse ox test done. The sleep center at the Woodland Park address NEVER answers their phone. NEVER. Then they play a recording that if you leave a message for them to "please allow SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS for a return phone call". SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS? That is beyond incredible. Absolutely awful customer service.

Alicia and leslie nurses 4th floor AMAZING... Gina floor 4 nurse incompetent, rude, and discharge my husband against what the dr. Said... How is this possible?. His oxygen monitor came off, she was notified, did nothing, sent him home without oxygen when doctor specifically said HE MUST GO ON OXYGEN. She messed up and covered her own butt with "her friend"Nurse from the 3rd floor who was monitoring him. FIRE THEM BOTH. Gina even said to us, good to have friends upstairs when you need them. She has put my husbands life in danger. Were on our way home now, and im am horrified with the disturbing service this nurse is giving.

From 2016:  While the ER wait can be excruciating, we've been fortunate in the level of care we've received.   However, I think with any ER, it depends on the staff at the time and how diligent and tired they may be.  Although there appears to be a large staff, I do not like being unattended for hours at a time (my IV fluid was empy for at least 1 hour and it took hours to get meds and imaging)--it would be great if nurses checked on patients more frequently and ensured tests that are ordered are done in a reasonable amount of time.
