Story

DANIEL, Chef Daniel Boulud’s renowned flagship restaurant, offers an elegant ambiance, gracious service and award-winning French cuisine on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Menus are inspired by the seasons and accompanied by world class wines. The distinctive setting boasts contemporary furnishings and finishes atop the restaurant’s grand neo classical architecture. DANIEL offers the Bellecour Room for private dining and a warm and welcoming Bar & Lounge where guests enjoy creative cocktails, à la carte dining and exquisite desserts.


PRIVATE DINING AT DANIEL

The private Bellecour Room accommodates up to 90 guests for a seated event and 150 guests for a standing reception. The restaurant is also available for private luncheons. The Main Dining Room can seat a maximum of 140 guests.

One of the best dining experiences of my life! From the beginning the service is top notch. We got there early and went to the bar for two cocktails. Each one was excellently made. We were then taken to the dining room, which is large and beautifully decorated. Our table overlooked the entire dining area. The service from the start was friendly, helpful, attentive and smart. We had the four course menu, each dish getting better as we went along. My bison was the best I ever tasted. We had one glass of red wine with our final meals. They gave us a dessert for our anniversary. Awesome time! We will come back!!

The food is excellent but I would expect nothing less. The service is even better than the food. Daniel will definitely not disappoint but dunno to get the full experience you will likely spend every bit of $600 to $800 if you do the wine pairings and including the tip. Great experience and we would go back

CHECK YOUR BILL CAREFULLY. We spent $$$$ to celebrate my daughters birthday only to come home and find a $44 additional charge- the only one not written in English- that we didn’t recognize. When we called Daniel we were told that only the maitre d had the authority to adjust the charge but that he had left for the evening. At best, this is an odd way to end a very luxurious meal at a restaurant that prides itself on service and training. At worst, this seems like an easy way to pad a bill with a middling charge that many wouldn’t quibble or notice. CHECK YOUR BILL CAREFULLY.

Absolutely amazing meal a couple weeks ago. The food was spectacular and we loved the wine selections. Could not have been better!

I’m from Australia and our dinner at Daniel was a standout. We have impressive fine dining options in Sydney which we have been to, however the experience at Daniel outclassed them all. Not only is the food amazing but the service absolutely blew us away. As soon as our glass was empty the server was there within seconds to offer another drink. We spent 4 hours at dinner and I’ve recommended Daniel to many Australian friends who have dined there since and had a similar great experience. If I could give Daniel 6 stars I would. Its my favourite restaurant in the world and I’m hopeful to return to Daniel soon if I can brave the extremely long flight to New York with a 6 month old baby!!
