I love Discount Electronics. Great location, no parking problems and excellent staff. I took my laptop and the guy helping me started working with the issue and explained me options and ways to solve it. In 20 minutes he fixed it!  So happy, great customer service and they also have the best prices for parts. Thank you!

Found the exact little laptop I needed. Staff were informative and clearly knowledgeable about tech. Offered me a few directions to point me toward what I ended up purchasing without making me feel stupid and without being pushy. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I've lived in Austin nine years but I hadn't been in a discount electronics for a long time. I went the other day with a friend looking for a laptop. I was pleasantly surprised by this store. The sales person who helped us was very knowledgeable was able to explain the different model laptop's and the advantages/ disadvantages of each. He even went in the back to check if any other models of laptop were available for sale while we were there. This store was clean and we'll organized and prices were very affordable. I will definitely return and continue to do business Discount electronics.

I am so tired of these guys.  Lately, every component I've bought from them had been broken or defective.   They have an "exchange only" policy that gives you a measly 14 days to return something.   They used to be really good with well stocked stores and great customer service, but now that's all gone.  If you walk into the South Austin/Manchaca store, it looks like its about days away from closing for good.   They used to be a great alternative to the big box stores, but sadly no more. >:(((
