Was renting a car with two days notice. Not for travel, but because the AC went out on mine and I had a job interview so I was going to be wearing a suit on a humid 90° Tennessee day. Pick up was at 11 am, but I showed up at 1030 am just to be prompt. Was told no cars yet, but offered a very large pick up truck. I passed as this was much, much larger than what I was used to (I was trying to get an economy car, but would have taken any size smaller than a tank). Was told would be called when something came in. Finally had to go back uncalled at 11:40 and was told nothing would be coming in till noon. If this were true, I'm sure a few minutes would have passed before they could re-release it, and I was out of time. I understand inventory control is tough, and don't hold that against them so much though they took the reservation, and THEY called ME the night before to ensure I was still coming. What the low score is about is that once it happened, there was no attempt to make it right. No "let me call the store 2 miles away to see what they might have." No "I'm really sorry, let me give you $20 off your next rental.". Just a total nonchalance about my situation and a repetition that I could have taken the F150 like behemoth to make sure I knew that absolved them of simply not having any vehicle at all. This would have been a one star review, but this was my third rental of the summer and I had had a decent experience both those other times. Still....as things stand, I'll take my future rental business elsewhere.

Very disappointed in Enterprise. I returned the car after driving it only 2.6 miles within an hour and was actually charged a full day's rental.  That is just no way treat a consumer.  I have prior history with Enterprise personally and business where I brought them a lot of corporate business as an executive assistant.

The service here is excellent. My only complaint is that they are so busy that they don't have enough vehicles to rent.
