Horrible. Caused me nothing but stress and worry. First of all- the car was dirty when I got it. Stains everywhere, food splattered on the back seats. Smelled like cigarettes. The store itself was dirty and gross too. The employees don’t seem to care. Anyways, I prepaid the gas so that I could leave the rental car at the shop I was getting my car repaired at upon pick up. Everything seemed fine. I leave it there when I get my car, gave the keys to the front desk of the shop and then CALLED Hertz before I left to tell them where I left the car. Guy who answered said “ok that’s fine!” About a week later, I am getting calls non stop from Hertz Antioch about the car never being returned and demanding to know where it is. Literally calling non stop back to back. Didn’t even leave a message at first, would just hang up and call me again til I answered. I tell them the situation and they are extremely unhelpful. The only response I could get was “well we don’t have it here, it’s still in your name, you must still have it, you will be financially responsible for recovering the car” So I call corporate and spoke with a lady who was actually HELPFUL unlike you guys and she sent me an affidavit so that I could finally get rid of this mess. Before I could send the affidavit back, I get a call from Hertz Antioch saying the car was located. Not even one apology for causing me so much inconvenience, stress, worry, or for blaming for their mistakes. I will NEVER return here and would advise everyone I know to stay far away. Go to enterprise. Go ANYWHERE else. This place is horrible!

This was set up by the insurance company 3 weeks before my body shop appt. I called 45 mins before arriving at the body shop and hertz was still an hour late in picking me up. We went to their office, it was an embarrassment. The walls are filthy, it looks like a fake front for a loan office. No one is in uniform of any sort, very unprofessional.
The car itself was scratched up, smelled bad and was dirty. I drove it for two weeks and was called a week after I dropped it off telling me it stunk and had ash in it. I told the young man those were false statements and it was impossible because I am highly allergic to cigarette smoke. He said, “well I even checked with my manager”. I asked when it had been picked up, he had just picked it up after a week. You read that correctly, they left it sitting at the body shop for a week. Don’t waste your time or money, there are plenty of reputable rental car places in Nashville.
Side note: I contacted the Regional Managet (via email) assuming the issues were at the unit level, but received no response, apology or otherwise.

Picked up car and it wasn’t ready. They did a quick clean job where the dash was still smeared and crumbs around the gear shift. We discovered that the window washer fluid was not checked a day into the trip when we had to stop and buy a whole container to fill it up. After a week in the car with typical dirt on the cheap carpet floor mats from a family of four getting in and out we were told the car was “disgusting” and that they would have to charge us $200 to detail it! This after we thought we would be nice and ran it through a car wash and vacuumed it out! I’ve never in all my years renting cars for family vacations had this happen, or been treated so disrespectfully. Of course I’ve usually used enterprise but thought I’d save some money and go with Hertz this timeI️ guess you get what you pay for!
