Story

"Who do you know wants to buy a car?" There is hardly anyone in southeastern Wisconsin who hasn't heard that question.

Ernie von Schledorn, a native of West Germany, was drafted into the army in 1944 and spent three months as a prisoner of war in Remagen. After his release, Ernie returned to complete his studies at Frankfurt University. He jokingly describes himself as a "war bride", in as much as he married his American sweetheart while she was working for the United States Department of State in Frankfurt.
In 1952, Ernie arrived in Milwaukee with $14. Looking for a job, he tried the breweries without success, but was able to obtain a job as a roofer at 90 cents an hour. After three months, he was delighted to find a job as a used car salesman at Edwards Motor Company."
In 1955 von Schledorn joined Lou Ehlers Buick in Shorewood and within two years became the No. 1 Buick salesman in America.

Ernie von Schledorn started his own dealership in 1959 at 400 E. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, which he operated until 1966. In 1966 he built and opened a new dealership n Menomonee Falls. In 1978 he opened another new dealership on Main Street in Menomonee Falls. Currently there are two dealership locations in the Ernie von Schledorn group; Menomonee Falls and Lomira. In 2003, he built and opened a state of the art Volkswagen Marketplace on Main Street in Menomonee Falls.

Ernie von Schledorn sells most American makes of vehicle, Volkswagen, plus hundreds of used vehicles. He has been a Volkswagen, GM dealer for over 40 years. During 2002 he was ranked number one in the country several times for combined Volkswagon sales and customer service satisfaction. He has received numerous number one awards in the past from General Motors.

After visiting multiple dealerships and finding that customer service is no longer what it used to be, Don Munia and his team (Andy Maduka and Brad the Sales Manager) proved me wrong. They listened to us and what our needs were. Not only were they able to meet our needs, they have undeniably exceeded our expectations in terms of customer service. We made this purchase for my husband but next year I will be in the market for a new vehicle and I will DEFINITELY be reaching out to them again. I can honestly say this has been the BEST experience I have EVER had in buying a vehicle.

I wouldn't even give it one star, if that were a choice. I have had nothing but bad experiences with this company from the time I bought the car. The last time the car was in back in June I submitted a survey and then it was followed up with an email stating someone would like to call, so I provided my number and a good time to call, needless to say I never got that call. This time the service was much worse. I dropped the car off on Thurs. Aug 31 for a seat belt to be fixed that has been broke since I purchased the car from you. I also told them to clean up the ink spot that had been there since I purchased the car and they didn't fix in June, along with a spot on the backseat. I also told them to look at why the car is pulling left and that the breaks are making a grinding sound. I got a call in the afternoon from Andy, he said they no longer had the part even though they had called me about in July, so they put in a rush from another dealer in town and that it would get done on Friday Sep 1. We no one called on Fri, so on Sat Sep 2 I called, I was told by a girl that she would find out if it was done and call me back in 5 minutes, it was 20 minutes later and she said the mechanic had it in the car wash. She said she would call me back, she didn't. I called back to see when it would be ready for me to pick it up, then her story was the mechanic was working on it, I asked what he was doing as he was only to replace the seat belt and I hadn't given approval on anything else as I hadn't even been told if there was a problem with anything else yet at this point, again she was going to look into it and call me back, again she didn't. I called again only to find out they had closed, so I spoke to another girl not in service who said she'd look into it and get back to me and she didn't either, again an hour later I called only to find out she didn't find anything out and that all she could do was put me in a voicemail for someone to deal with on Tue. Sep 5 at 7am as it was a holiday weekend. I left a detailed and stern message for someone to call me first thing on Tue at 7am, again no one did. I once again called to find out the car wasn't ready yet, as they were working on it. I got a call back from Andy at 3:15pm on Tue afternoon to tell me they have the wrong part and need to order one and it would get there hopefully on Wed. I told him how ridiculous this was that I could have just taken my car back or should have been given a loaner and he said we could look into a loaner if needed. Then on Wed Andy called to tell me that the part that came in was wrong and that it would now be Thur. Sep 7 before I got it back. I told him I had to have it 1pm no matter what, as it had been a week and I needed my car. Andy called me on Thur Sep 7 at 11:52am to tell me it would be ready at 1pm. When I picked it up I asked to speak with a manager, so I was given Jason, who said sorry, we are going through changes here, I'll look into it and it shouldn't have happened, I should have be given a loaner car. He then said he could give me my first oil change for free. I then asked, 1 oil change for this inconvenience and he stated yes, that's what I can do. I was told the ink on the seat was removed, the seat belt had been fixed and that nothing was wrong with the alignment and that the breaks had some rust so they cleaned them up, but couldn't get them to do the sound. Well, the car still pulls and the breaks still make a sound, not sure how they couldn't find anything wrong with either of those things. They also didn't clean the backseat and actually left oil finger prints inside the diver door up the roof handle, there is also a minor small dent on the rear driver side that wasn't there before. I feel there is something wrong with the car and EVS is covering it knowing they sold me a bad car as these problems have existed since June and I bought it in April.

Stewart is unprofessional, sexist and rude. Apparently sales lady Kyle (who was as sweet as it gets) is "easily frustrated" by negotiations. However, at that moment if it weren't for her and the fact I loved the Acadia, we would've went elsewhere. Outdated building which is absolutely disgusting inside and out. No closing, didn't go through the vehicle, walked away without even saying thank you- which in the end made me incredibly upset with Kyle Kiley. Y I K E S! We'll be taking our vehicle back to Heiser for any servicing needs. Nice try EVS but you definitely missed the mark. GM will be hearing about this experience regardless if they send me a survey or not.

I bought a used Acadia a few months back and I had the best experience I've ever had buying a car. Matt, Brad and Edwin were super easy to work with and hooked me up with some great financing. Last week I was back in for my first oil change and Matt B. from the service department was very friendly and professional. The oil change was done timely. I had a question on a feature of the car that I thought I would need to google, but Matt from the service department knew exactly what I was asking and explained the function perfectly. I'll be back for service and my next car!!
