Freewheel is a community bicycle workshop run by volunteers with a range of bicycle skills that seeks to serve the low-income community in Madison, encourage bicycle ridership, and demystify bicycle maintenance.
Freewheel is a Nonprofit Bicycle and Bike Repair shop located on Madison's South side. We teach bicycle classes, advocate for ridership, have an open shop, and host bicycle giveaways both at our shop and at libraries, community centers, and schools throughout Dane County.
We have recently been chosen as operators for Madison's Bicycle Resource Center downtown, coming soon!

Freewheel seeks to minimize waste and provide education by providing free bike parts and a shop to build and maintain bicycles in, as well as classes on bicycle maintenance, construction, and repair.
